1. PROJECT INFORMATION
Salient features of the Project site:
NTPC Ltd. has placed an order on M/s BHEL for the work of Replacement of LP Heaters
(06 nos.) under R&M of FGUTPP Stage-I (2x210 MW).
NTPC Ltd., a public limited company, incorporated under the company’s act 1956 and
having its registered office at NTPC Bhawan, Core-7, Scope Complex, Institutional Area,
Lodhi Road, New Delhi- 110003
Other details are as follows:-
1. Site Location: State- Uttar Pradesh, site is Approx .35 km from Raebareli.
2. Approach – NTPC Unchahar is approximately 35 km from Raebareli.
Nearest railway station are,
a) Unchahar – 5 km Approx
b) Raebareli - 35 km Approx
c) Allahbad – 90km Approx.
Nearest Airport is Lucknow 120 km Approx.
3. Capacity of Unit – 2x210 MW (Stage I)
The tenderers are however, advised to acquaint themselves with the site conditions,
before submitting their offer. No complaints whatsoever, on account of non- familiarization
with the site conditions, will be entertained.
BHEL Scope of Work- BHEL scope of work shall include design, engineering,
manufacturing, inspection of materials for New LP Heaters, its packing & forwarding to
site including loading & unloading, pre-assembly, assembly, dismantling, erection,
supervision, pre-commissioning, trial operation, commissioning and performance &
guarantee testing of the equipment/system.
For the purpose of erection of these projects, BHEL engages sub-contractors of high
competence level and proven capability. Selection of major sub-contractor is done with a
stringent system involving BHEL’s client. All construction activities are carried out strictly
in accordance with field quality plan approved by client. Client is also very actively
involved during execution of the work at site with the well-experienced team of BHEL
specialists.
As a result of consistent good practices and being an ISO 9000 (Quality Mgmt
system), ISO 14001 (Environmental Mgmt. system) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational
Health & Safety system) certified organization, BHEL has achieved remarkable result in
this field and also committed to achieve better in times to come.
2. BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK BY BHEL:
The risk Coverage shall include receipt, unloading of material at site, storage of item at
site, dismantling of existing structure at site, storage of dismantled item at site,
handling/shifting of goods/consignments for the purpose of assembly, erection, testing
and commissioning and until completion of erection, testing, commissioning trial operation
and performance test of all connected systems in respect of equipment covered including
extended warranty period for work of ‘Replacement of LP Heaters (06 nos.) under R&M
of FGUTPP Stage-I (2x210 mw).’’
