Working with “Etihad Airways”, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E as “Logistics Manager” since Sept 2008 till
date.
Responsibilities Handled:
• Manage a team of 5 Logistics personnel, plus 3 implant staff’s from contracted service providers to
achieve desired and agreed output.
• Manage logistics operations including all logistics assets in order to ensure timely and cost-effective
delivery of In-Flight/Catering Items from various international suppliers to central warehouse.
• Formulate procedures for smooth Logistics operations and information flow with proper transparent
accountability.
• Co-ordinate and provide logistics support to ongoing projects of other departments like Facilities /
Properties / Training Academy / Marketing.
• Establish reports based on logistics movements and distribute them according to requirements
• Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning
and that all relevant records are maintained.
• Co-ordinate logistics operations with other departments and various service providers.
• Monitor that all required documents for Import Clearance are received prior to arrival or along with the
shipment as per the Government Regulations.
• Educate and assisting Buyers in choosing right Inco Terms so as it to be beneficial to the company.
• Liaise between Suppliers, Services Providers, Accounts Payable and Procurement to solve any issues like
Delayed payments, MOQ, Freight Terms etc.
• Ensure that all relevant documentary requirements are informed to Suppliers and internal customers to
avoid delays in receipts/clearance of shipments
• Coordinate between Planning/Inventory team, Procurement/Buyers Team and Suppliers to arrange
shipments as to receive as per Need by Dates.
• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers, service providers and internal
customers.
• Request and evaluate different rates as required for faster and cost effective shipping.
• Monitor and track shipments as arranged by Air or Sea.
• Manage, Monitor Key Inventories and ensure they are not stock out.
• To perform other related duties as assigned
Key Achievements
• Developed and implemented Sea Freight program for replenishing outstations whereby saving valuable
cargo space which used to get occupied by service cargo.
• Formulation of key procedural documents with regards to Documentation Requirements to provide to
suppliers to avoid delay in getting right documents for Clearance and thus saving on Storages and
Demurrages.
• Developed Forms for Request for Quotes to enable and give sufficient information to forwarders to
assess and quote the right price to avoid additional charges later and to keep price of the items within
budgeted figures.

• Developed Forms for Routing Orders to enable and give all required information to forwarders to
arrange the shipments without any delay due to loss or delayed information thereby saving on transit
time and having stocks on hand at right required time.
• SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Logistics during ERP implementation. Was involved right from supplier
evaluation, requirement gathering, design stage, testing stages, for SAP, Ariba-P2O, Ariba-POIA.
• Change Champion and Key System user from SAP Fulfillment team.
Worked with “Sharaf Cargo LLC”, Dubai, U.A.E as “Assistant Manager – Operations” since July
2003 till Sept 2008.
Responsibilities Handled:
• Customer Handling & Sales of Cargo Space on Aircraft
• Accepting Cargo Bookings & issuance of Air Waybill numbers and Air Waybills
• Air Waybill executions as per requirements of Origin/Destination Customs and Airline regulations.
• Maintaining, Monitoring and Controlling Flight wise Bookings.
• Maintaining shipment and flight records Airline wise.
• Ensuring timely and smooth Turnaround of B757 Pax Aircraft.
• Independently handling and ensuring timely and smooth turnaround of B747-400F.
• Co-ordination with Dubai Airport Ground-ops for various flight operations.

discrepancies / Pre-Build-Up’s / UWS / Manifest / ULD Control and other Flight related issues.
• Planning Flight Load and supervising the same to achieve optimum Load for maximum Profitability.
• Co-ordination with partner Airlines for Cargo space and Aircraft Operations.
• Co-ordination with Hub of Principal Airlines for smooth & timely transit of Cargo.

Key Achievements
• Set up of Cargo operational procedures of Virgin Nigeria Airlines / Great Wall Airlines / Finnair /
South African Airlines / Delta Airlines / Eritrean Airlines / TAAG Angola Airlines as GSA with
DNATA in accordance to their respective requirements and standards.
• Ramp Handling independently flights of Great Wall Airlines, including Crew Administration at DXB.
• Ramp and Pax handling of Eritrean Airlines.
• Loading MD Pallets of Textile Rolls for Finnair with minimal use of Lashings Belts.
• Achieved 10 Tons on the inaugural flight of Virgin Nigeria flight from DXB to LOS on 767-300.
• Managed a team of 5 personnel including their Training / Roster / Motivation to perform the best and
attain the target load for each flight.
• Nil ULD loss of Finnair / Great Wall Airlines / Taag Angola Airlines / South African Airlines / Virgin
Nigeria Airlines. All incoming ULD’s were accounted for and returned back to HUB with or without
Cargo as per requirement.
Worked with “Lunawat Construction Ltd.” in Pune, India as “Systems Administrator”
from April-1999 till August-2000.
