1. Film Trailers
What are film trailers?
A trailer or preview is an advertisement or a commercial for a feature film that will be
exhibited in the future at a cinema. The term "trailer" comes from their having originally
been shown at the end of a feature film screening.
How do film trailers work?
Trailers consist of a series selected shots from the film being advertised. Since the purpose
of the trailer is to attract an audience to the film, these excerpts are usually drawn from the
most exciting, funny, or otherwise noteworthy parts of the film but in abbreviated form and
usually without producing spoilers. For this purpose the scenes are not necessarily in the
order in which they appear in the film.
What are film trailers for?
To give the target audience a insight into what they will be seeing in the film and also to
promote the film.
To tell the audience about a movie's content than simply to let them know that the movie is
coming up in the near future, and to add to the hype of the upcoming release.
Why are film trailers made?
So the audience knows what they will be watching, they’re made so people have a sample of
the upcoming release.

When are film trailers released?
It really depends on the movie. If it is a popular movie with a fan base it will usually be
released a little earlier than most movies.
A month or so before the actual films are released, if the movie is supposed to really bring in
the money and is very popular it could go up to 18 months.
