This is because it is a horror short film which may make it seem too short or scary
for any of the age below that range.
An older age might not be very interested in a “short” horror film.
The younger age range meaning around 6-8 would probably enjoy a short film that
was a cartoon or animation for example ‘frozen’ or ‘transformers’.

show you how you could possibly survive it, also containing a message to share to
all watching it.
4. This film is going to spread awareness for what may happen with strangers.
If you don't know a person you could never know if they are a kind hearted person
or a cruel, sinful person.
Someone you know nothing about can be: a sex offender, child abductor,
murderer, rapist, etc.
Which is why zed studios would like us to make a short film for the film they're
releasing on halloween.
5. Platforms for distribution and consumption

a good way to distribute this because it will draw more attention to the audience

november is the time of year where they release most horrors in cinema. Which
will make it a suitable idea to show ‘the devil’s playground’ with in the trailers as it
will contain life lessons and skills on how to survive, stay safe or even avoid
realistic typical situation that may or may not happen in horror movies.
6. This short clip can also be distributed on youtube or on a website.

The purpose of this advert is to promote fairy liquid. The targeted audience is at
house mums and cleaners or even just adults in general, the genre of it is
obviously an advertisement.
The advert is a guessing game (eye spy) that points out fairy liquid so it's
straightforward with no flash backs.
The advert was being a bit stereotypical by making women act in it as some
people think only women should be in a kitchen or that, that is their element.
13. There are many different shots taken from a camera, like:
● Extreme wide shot
● Wide shot

● Medium close up
● Extreme close up
● Close up
16. When describing different cinematic shots, different terms are used to indicate the
amount of subject matter contained within a frame, how far away the camera is
from the subject, and the perspective of the viewer. Each different shot has a
different purpose and effect. Directors may choose to move action along by telling
the story as a series of cuts, going from one shot to another, or they may decide to
move the camera with the action. Moving the camera often takes a great deal of
time, and makes the action seem slower, as it takes several second for a moving
camera shot to be effective, when the same information may be placed on screen
in a series of fast cuts. Not only should the style of movement be chosen, but the
method of actually moving the camera must be selected too.
17. This shot of the house in final
destination is an establishing shot
which is showing the scenery,
letting the audience know where
the film is set and directed.
This shot is a high angle shot taken
above the actor to show the audience

There was tracking shots following the fire when the alcohol was spilled and set alight by the computer

19. SOUNDS
They used few of sound effects for the cup and computer exploding and when the
women screams. Also they used non-diegetic sounds which create an
understanding for the audience and to show more meaning about the character.
The other non-diegetic sound was the addition of music the effect of the sound
was to make a eery atmosphere which connects to the horror genre for the
audience.
Diegetic sound or dialogue was not evident in this scene as the script followed the
characters shown in the clip was just mostly effects like screams and loud bangs.
21. There are many different ways of editing movies like:
● Continuity editing

22. Editing
In Final Destination they’ve edited it by adding special effects and used different types of cuts throughout it
they've used different camera shots like close up shots when she panics as part of a sequence. The editor
used many special effects for when the computer smokes and explodes by using flash frames, this adds
to the drama of the event to exaggerate. It is mainly continuity editing as the story is straight forward
developing in chronological order.
23. MISE EN SCENE
The mise en scene in final destination was quite a urban style , modern scenery.
The setting was an ordinary house meaning it could happen to anyone. The
characters are dressed in casual clothes, it seems like the scenery was put like
that because it was appealing to a teen and above audience because it was a bit
graphic from where the glass was stuck to her neck to the point that she dropped
a knife through her stomach, so the melodrama appealed to young people.
They used different types of lighting from lowkey where it was dark and there was
shadows to build mystery, they had used colour fx to show comfort because she
was in her home.
From the clip that was shown there was iconography linked into the genre such as
knives which are a threat and the blood.
