Editor's Notes
I am a member of the Self Realization FellowshipIt is a spiritual organization founded in 1920 by an Indian guru named ParamhansaYoganandaAbout four years ago, I was going through a very difficult time in life. As we all know – suffering is a subjective experience, not an objective one. And if that’s true – if everythings all in my head…then how do I change what’s in my head. I decided that the only way out of my problems was to learn to meditate so that I could have more control over my mind and my thoughts. I read a few books on meditation and they kept referencing the autobiography of a yogi. And so I read it. And I immediately knew that this is my path. It is a path of daily meditation, using a set of specific techniques, to gain control of the mind and ultimately attain bliss, peace, and liberationIt involves a three year home study program that sends weekly lessons in the mail detailing the different techniques and how to live yorulfieThe meditation practice includes a set of techniques, and the highest one is called Kriya Yoga
-A Kriyaban is someone who has received the Kriya technique.-in order to be eligible to receive the technique you have to pass a high bar..-you have to have consistently practiced 30 minutes of meditatin every morning and evening for about 6 months… more or less-you eligible after a year, it took me about 6 years
