4. MAJOR/MINOR CHARACTER
Jack is a major character. Jack is a major character because,
he gets called to take August on a
tour of the school, and also been
asked to sit next to him in
classes. He talks behind August’s
back, August hears him and gets
mad. Jack blames August for their
fight. Jack, also has a “chapter” in
the book.
5. STATIC/DYNAMIC CHARACTER
Jack is a dynamic character. Jack is a dynamic character
because, Jack is asked to help
August though out the school
year, and other kids make fun of
him for hanging out with August.
Then after he got over Julian
being a jerk, he could relax and
be August’s friend. That is how
we know that Jack is a dynamic
character.
6. ROUND /FLAT CHARACTER
Jack is a round character. Jack is a round character because,
when we read his “chapter” we
learn a lot about his life at home.
Like how he has a little brother
named Jamie, and how he’s not
rich. We also learn that his dad is
a teacher, his mom social worker
and he lives on the top floor of a
five-story walk-up, they rent
from an old-lady. That is how we
know that Jack is a round
character.
