Jack Will is a major, static, and round character in Wonder. He lives with his mom and little brother. Jack befriends August on his first day of middle school, staying loyal to him even when others make fun of August. Throughout the story, Jack consistently stands up for August against bullies.

Jack Will had seen August at the park before he got the call to come to the school and
show August around.
Jack Will and August became friends and Jack stays loyal.

4. Major/Minor
Character
Jack Will is a major character. The way I know he is a major character is because on
page 134 it says “Well, it’s actually very flattering but kind of sad, too. See there’s this
boy who’s starting middle school this year.” It’s talking about how Mr. Tushman wants
Jack to come and show August around the school and hang out with him.

5. Static/Dynamic
CharacterJack Will is a static character. The reason I know he is because he stood up for August
when Julian was making fun of the way he looked. That was closer to the front of the
book. Closer to the end of the book Jack stayed with August when Eddie was making
fun of the way that August looked. That is how I know how Jack is a static character.

Jack Will is a round character. The way we know he is a round character is because we
know that he lives with his mom and brother. Also the way i know is that Jack is
mainly with August in the whole book.
