location of the kitchen. In the kitchen scene, the actress would be using
kitchen appliances such as toaster, butter knife. We would also be using food
such as bread and butter.
Risk The kitchen is a risky location to film, we could encounter:
-knives and sharp objects= cuts skin/ can seriously injure crew/production
members
- Liquids/hot liquids= burns skin/ damage filming equipment
-Cooker/microwave= can cause fires which can damage equipment as well as
seriously injuring a crew member
-Glassware= delicate and fragile, can break easily and cut skin

• Both Kitchen’s have its advantages and disadvantages, however we opted to choose Kitchen
2 which is the house on commercial road, this is because this house is available to us when
we need to film. It was very difficult choosing a house to film in because we couldn’t find
houses that would be suitable for us to film-as many households are busy. Ultimately, Kitchen
2 seems more suitable for the character as the character is living by herself, and most London
apartments for people who live by themselves are small, also small houses/apartment adds
to the horror film- it seems as if the the house is small and trapping our character.

9. Recce: Bathroom 1
Location London, Stepney Green: Bathroom
Reason Dark Arts production plan to use the Bathroom to film a scene that requires
the location of the bathroom. In the bathroom scene, the actress would be
using the Bathroom cabinet to grab her medication bottle and consuming it.
Risk The bathroom is a risky location to film, we could encounter:
-sharp objects: Corners of cabinets and drawers
-Water/liquids: on the floor, dangers of slipping and falling, or injuring
-As we are dealing with medication, we must ensure that the medicine is
fake and any real medicines must be out of reach and absent from the
bathroom.
-Bathroom 1 is smaller than Bathroom 2

• Both Bathroom 1 and Bathroom 2 are dissimilar as Bathroom 1
is smaller whereas Bathroom 2 is slightly bigger which gives us
space to film and include large equipment.

requires the location of a news report room. In the Green Screen room the
actor will be sitting on a desk in front of the green screen. Also we will be
using the green screen room to take picture of the poster.
Risk The green screen is not a very risky location, however we must be prepared
to face dangers:
-sharp objects: desks, equipment, props
-Water/liquids: any water or liquids around can damage destroy equipment
-Tripping over electrical cords

16. Recce: A plain white background (classroom)
• Both the green screen room and classroom for a white background are viable
options, however as a group we opted for the green screen room because the
green screen would give us the option of using a professional news background
and the risks are low. However, the green screen room is small therefore we
need to be aware of the limited space around us.
