2. I think the combination of my pop
music video and my ancillary texts,
being my CD cover and magazine
advert, turned out very effective as
they resembled Emeli Sande’s style.
When I looked at her album cover of
‘Our Version of Events’ I noticed how
she had used a black and white
photo, whilst wearing a black dress,
with only the words ‘Emeli Sande’ and
‘Our Version of Events’, keeping it very
simple.

3.  Bearing this in mind, I took a photo of
my model and edited it to black and
white to put on the front of my CD
cover, with my model wearing a long
black coat also. Alongside this, I also
kept my front cover very minimal with
only the use of my edited photo and
the text ‘Emeli Sande’.

4.  I then linked my magazine advert with my CD
cover by using the same black and white
photo of my model on both and the same
text – Century Gothic, along with the same
colour font for the text ‘Emeli Sande’, ‘Clown’
and ‘Out February 2013’. I believe this was
effective as it showed the link between the
two products and integrated with the pop
genre that I was trying to recreate.
