2. Synergy:
Synergy is when one media product/ ideas can be
released and promoted via different platforms.
Synergy occurs in album covers, magazine ads and
possibly in the music video. The imagery, graphics,
colour palette setting and font are all decided before
hand, which is then developed in album covers and
magazine ads. This helps promote the artist (s)
through all types of media. E.g. music videos, album
covers, bill board adverts, and TV commercials.
4. As you can see the album cover is called ‘Disclosure Settle’. The main
signifiers in the album cover is the two young boys, which are outlined by
white. Graphics is the main key to the album cover as the white outlines the
young boys. The key features highlighted in the music video which is called
‘F for you’ is the use of silhouettes and the neon coloring. The features that
are found in the music video and the album cover is the use of graphics once
again’ White outlines are used in the music video as seen above.
6. The name of the album is called ‘Black and white’ Hence the colour palette used.
The key features highlighted in the album cover is the artist and the use of
simplistic colour which reflects the album title. The album cover is exactly the
same as the magazine ad, this is a way of promoting his music as the use of
same font, colour pallet and imagery helps viewers to distinguish his music.
This music video is called ‘Don’t go’. The key features highlighted is the the main
artist and ‘Josh Kumra’ which was an artist who featured in the music video.
The main features that are seen across all three products is the artist- he’s shown
in all of them. Also, the album title’ Black and white’ is also used in the music
video which references the album.
8. The name of the album cover is called electronic Earth. The key features
highlighted in the cover is the artists in the foreground ground. The use of colours
(neon) could represent electronic elements. The music video which is called ‘Let
the sin shine’ has many features; the use of setting and background imaging (of
cities) relates to the album cover. Also the use of neon lighting is used which
gives it more effect. He also wears the sunglasses- it may not be the same one,
but the use of props links to the album cover.
