2. LOCATION 1 – DITTON PARK
Roads may be hard to film on as cars
constantly drive down them. If they see
colored smoke they could be distracted
from driving or alert authorities.
Thick deciduous forests that will
be good for the first scene
involving the colored smoke
and police scene. Certain parts
of the park of very quite which
will be good when using the
smoke.
Risk that the smoke could damage wildlife
and plants. Also the park is near a
motorway – if the smoke drifts onto
motorway then the results could be
catastrophic.
The sun sets over the west of the park
so this is good if we want to get shots
involving the sun set.
This location is very easy to
get to for Jamie and Fazal.
Jamie and Fazal can walk
there, whereas Josh and
Harvey have to cycle or take a
train.
Dog walkers nearby could
get in the way of our shots.
3. LOCATION 2 – THE SCOTCH
This will be good for the party
scene. It gets very packed here, so
we can use a POV shot and show
heads and flashing lights to make
it seem ‘buzzing’ and energetic. -
this is the scene where the
policmen enter the 3rd dimension.
Risk of drunk people – getting
into fights is pushing to much
or videoing.
Areas of sitting if we get tired
filming. We have to be over
18 to film here, unless
someone we know has an
event and we get free entry.
Very easy to get to – All of
us would take a train or
get dropped in the car.
They have bright flashing lights
that are good for an effective party
scene.
We won’t be able to use any
camera equipment inside – so
we’d have to use handheld
equipment and film on our
phones.
4. LOCATION 3 – BEARS RAIL PARK
Bears rail is in the great park which is
owned by the Queen. Therefore it
would be very hard to use the coloured
smoke with the amount of police
wardens around. We would have to
seek permission to use the coloured
smoke, by the wardens.
There are herds of deer around. This is a
major risk as we don’t want to disturb or
distress them with the coloured smoke.
They could charge at us and their health
could be affected by the smoke.
These are the best forests around, they are
packed full of wild life and have steams going
down the middle. The forests are distributed in
circles in different areas, meaning we could
only have to use one of the forests. It would
also give a clear route for the actors to follow
when they are circling the police with the
smoke.
There is a scout camp nearby. Therefore if we
were to use this location we would have to alert
them of the situation so they are not confused/
frightened and call the bears rail authorities.
This location is fairly easy to get to for all of us.
We could all circle there or Fazal could drive us
(he is the only member that can drive). The
entrance is in Old Windsor, which is
approximately a 10 minute drive from where
we live.
