• The MLE is an interactive website
that you log in to. It functions like an
online computer with built-in
software
• It is made up of virtual “rooms”,
which are housed within virtual
corridors
• Rooms are only accessible by those
members given ‘access’ privileges
6. MLE Basics
• It also has a number of
communication tools such as
internal email, a shared calendar
and diary functions
• There is a ‘Staff Room’ where
staff members can access
confidential documents,
publications, read notices and
easily communicate with each
other.
7. MLE Basics
• There is an area for storing your
own documents
• Easy access to external web sites
• You can easily search and

13. 2009 MLE Priorities:
By the end of next year, we would like all
departments to develop the following:
1) Department Resource Room
An area where students can access key resources,
specifically homework and coursework materials.
2) Communication System
Through the use of stickies, messages and discussion
forums, subject teachers can communicate with each
other and Key Stage 4 & 5 students.

of contact. Please check:

be a number of MLE clinics

scheduled in the calendar.
This is open to all staff who
wish to develop their MLE
