CLOUD COMPUTING It is a paradigm in which information is permanently stored in servers on the internet and cached temporarily on clients that include desktops,table computers,notebooks,Wall computers,Handhelds entertainment centers etc. It puts customers information and or applications in a virtual “cloud” that can be accessed through the web. Users do not have or need knowledge, control, ownership in the computer infrastructure

  • 11. PAAS (Platform as a service) • Platforms enable application developers to host their services Example: – Google’s App Engine – Amazon E2C – Microsoft azure PAAS
  • 12. • SAAS – Software as a service • The application itself is provided by service provider Examples: – ENTERPRISE: SalesForce.com, WebEx, Officelive – USER MAIL: gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo – USER PICS: flickr, picasa SAAS
