1) Dates for test footage, location scouting, test shots, and casting photos scheduled between September and October 2014.
2) Two primary filming locations - the exterior and interior of the main character Chloe's house, to take advantage of natural lighting and establish a realistic family setting that progresses to reveal clues of an evil spirit.
3) Props like a teddy bear, note, and vase that are commonly seen in horror films and will help set the dark, cryptic tone.
4) Costumes for the main characters - a young girl in a dress and her parents in casual clothes

Locations
Our film trailer will begin with a shot outside of Chloe’s house and the characters walking into
Chloe’s house. It is within this period of time that we are introduced to the significant prop of the
teddy. This location allows us to use natural lighting during the day creating a realistic setting during
the day for the characters. The storyline will then progress to inside the house, here the characters
find clues of the evil spirit that is living amongst them. This will serve as the main location especially
the bedroom and the living room where the key events will happen. We feel that this location is
conventional for a horror film and appeals to the target audience. It also links to other horror films
including paranormal activity and insidious.
Props
The props that we have chosen to use for our trailer are highly associated with films of a horror
genre. We found this out through our target audience research which allowed us to see not only
what props are conventional for our genre but also which is conventional for our characters in the
trailer. We will use a teddy, note, vase and other household items in our trailer. The reason we have
chosen these props is because they regularly appear in horror films and shares the same target
audience. The note has been used as it is a significant prop as it is highly associated with the films
total and is a theme that runs throughout the trailer. These props will help to add to the dark and
cryptic that we are using for our trailer.
Costume
All of our characters will be wearing normal everyday clothing. The parents will be jeans and t-shirts
but the little girl will stereotypically wearing a pretty dress. However as the trailer progresses these
clothes will get ripped and dirty contributing to the overall effect of the storyline. This style of
costume is conventional it creates realism within the family allowing the audience to be more
unaware of who is the victim within the film. This style of costume will connote danger as the film
progresses which is conventional for a horror film. The use of blood and dirt will show that the main
character is in danger showing the people around her as vulnerable, this will contribute to the build-up
of tension.
Personnel/Casting
Bethany Munden Aged 10- Beth
Bethany is going to be the main character within the storyline, she is the first to discover the clues of
the evil spirit. This causes to be possessed and this builds up the tension and fear within the trailer.
We have chosen Beth as our main character as from my audience research I found that it was
appealing for a younger female to be the main character and it is also conventional. This is because
of their stereotypical innocence nature that is challenged in the horror trailer.
2. Lewis Jupp Aged 17- Freddie
Lewis is going to be portrayed older within our horror film as the father. We have chose n Lewis for
this role due to his caring nature. We also feel that Lewis looks older for this age and therefore he
would be well suited to this role. Due to Bethany’s age this will contrast and make Lewis look older.
Our family is also of a younger generation so using a younger class will portray our current society.
Amy-Jane Wilson Aged 17- Charlotte
We have chosen Amy as the mother for this film also due to her caring nature and the fact that she
looks older than his age. Bethany’s age will contrast with Amy’s age and will make her look older
within the trailer. Our family is also of a younger generation so using a younger class will portray our
current society.
