Symbiosis parasitism
1. Symbiosis Parasitism
Parasitsm was a word from “Parasite”.What is that?
A parasite is an organism that
• lives on or in the body of another organism (the host)
• from whose tissues it gets its nourishment, and
• to whom it does some damage
Animals are parasitized by
viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoon, flatworms (tapeworms and
flukes), nematodes, insects (fleas, lice), and arachnids (mites).
Plants are parasitized by
viruses, bacteria, fungi, nematodes, and a few other plants.

3. Definition of Symbiosis Parasitism
• Symbiosis parasitism is a relationship in
which one organism - the host - is the source
of food and/or shelter for another
organism, the parasite. In this
relationship, all of the benefits go to the
parasite; the host is harmed by the
relationship.

4. Example in Our Life
• An example is a human and a tapeworm living
in the intestines. The tapeworm derives food
(and shelter) from the human host; the
human is denied the nutrition that is
consumed by the tapeworm.

5. Another Example

and_ecosystem.html
• In this picture it shows that the mosquito
sucking the blood from this person.
The person is harmed because the mosquito
is sucking his/her blood, and after it is done
then the person will have a bug bite.
