Club?
The Mekong Club is the first anti slavery
coalition based in Hong Kong.
3. What does it do?
We exist in order to create responses to slavery
that meets the scale of this complex global problem.
We do this by investing in game changing ventures
that grow the size and intelligence of the response
to slavery.
4. How is it different?
We are turning to businesses to help eradicate
slavery.
To win, governments, NGOs and civil society
needs business to be more involved.
5. What do you mean
slavery?
Slavery did not end. It still exists and is growing.
In Asia, 9.5 million people are bought and sold
like property and are forced to work without pay
in horrific conditions.
6. How will you help
them?
Our foe earns US$32 billion in tax free profits
every year.
We will make it overly risky or unprofitable for
them to operate. We do this through innovation
and collaboration.
7. How can I help?
We are looking for businesses who can make
commitments of time, money or expertise.
We are looking for individuals who are
connectors and influencers.
