THE INVENTOR PRANAV MISTRY
     “ Sixth Sense Technology ” was
      invented by “ PRANAV MISTRY”.
,
                                            .

 He is a PhD candidate at “MIT
      LABS” .

 His research on sixth sense was
      awarded the 2009 invention
      award by POPULAR SCIENCE .

     He has also invented
      MOUSELESS ,SPARSH etc.
INTRODUCTION
"You see things and you say 'why?' But I dream things that never were and I
say ,“Why not?," once said George .The same philosophy has been driving
Pranav Mistry, the Indian technology wizard behind Six Sense
                               Technology.

'Sixth Sense' is a “wearable gestural interface” that breaks the
conventional model of accessing the digital information via electronic
devices such as mobile phones and computers.

The technology allows users to be part of the physical world and still
access digital information existing on the World Wide Web by using natural
hand gestures to interact with that info.
The Sixth Sense
WHY SIXTH SENSE ONLY

 We use our five natural senses to perceive information around us; that
  information helps us make decisions.

 But arguably the most useful information that can help us make the right
decision is not naturally perceivable with our five senses .

 The computing devices allows us to carry computers in our pockets, keeping us
continually connected to the digital world.

 There is no link between digital devices and our interactions with physical
  world.

 Sixth Sense bridges this gap, allowing us to interact with this information via
  natural hand gestures.
HARDWARE COMPONENTS

The Sixth Sense interface is a combination
of a very simple hardware component and
these are:-
 CAMERA

 MICROPHONE

 PROJECTOR

 MIRROR

 COLOR MAKERS

 INTERNET ENABLED MOBILE

 SENSORS
WORKING MECHANISM

.
FEATURES OF SIXTH SENSE TECH.

.

         Make a Phone Call .

         Zoom in & out . .

         Snap a Picture .
    .

         Picture Editing .

         Scan A Book .

 Recognize identity of a person.

         Project a Analog Clock , Etc.
Make Phone Call
 A person is required to touch
digital keys on one’s palm or
 whichever surface he decides to
project and Dial the number and
 make a call.

  Snap a Picture
 If we use the index finger and thumb
of both the hands to form a rectangle
(“framing gesture”),the system will
snap a photo. We can project them
on a surface .
SCAN A BOOK
If a book is projected infront of
the projector then , It can scan a
book and it can present detailed
reviews and even summaries of
that same book.

  DRAW IMAGES
 One can also draw different
images on any surface by the
movement of index finger which is
tracked by the device .
CREATE DOCUMENT
 This will help a user to create a
document by taking part from
various places and then print that
document.

   ZOOM IN & OUT
A person can zoom in or
zoom out using intutive hand
movements.
ADVANTAGES

 Portable.

 Cost effective.

 It is open source.

 Supports multi-touch and multi-user interaction.

 Bridges the gap batween real world and information.
