Taxation Reflection
Introduction:
I've summed up the introduction of Taxation to these slight words. Taxation is defined as a way that
the government able to generate or collect revenue from the citizen of one's nation through different
sources. As what I've learned from Taxation course that there are two types of taxation, direct which
are paid by the taxpayer directly to the government, and indirect which are collected by an
intermediary (like a retail store) from the consumer. The intermediary who will file the tax return
later and forward the amount of the money to the government with the return. This tax is applicable
to organizations and individuals. In this reflection, I would like to highlight what I learned of
business and individual taxation, the experience on working with a group for the project and what
challenges I faced and how I was able to get past.
Learning about individual and business taxation: When I went back to my notes that I took during
the Taxation class and think about filing a tax return with IRS I see that there are a lot of
similarities between individual tax and business tax. However, weighing individual and business tax
on the same gauge will evince how much they are different from each other (Pack, n.d.). Individual
taxation is a type of tax return filed by an individual for both single and married taxpayers whether
they have dependents or not, they will file the tax returns on Form 1040. The Form 1040
indoctrinate tax filers for information on their filing status and number of dependents, the income
section includes wages, salary, taxable interest, capital gains and other types of income. filers can
claim deductions for expenses, education, moving expenses and many other categories.
In Taxation course I've learned how to do individual tax returns and calculate tax liabilities. We used
different tax rates, gross income, calculate the federal income tax regulations, charitable deductions.
For income tax topic which is designed to us to go more in–depth understanding of how it can affect
individuals and businesses.
We've done a lot of exercises on how to figure income tax for individuals, partnerships, and
businesses. Like for example for partnerships, Spouses who own a qualified entity in

Transfer of Learning
Transfer of learning is the study of the dependency of human conduct, learning, or performance on
prior experience. The notion was originally introduced as transfer of practice by Edward Thorndike
and Robert S. Woodworth. They explored how individuals would transfer learning in one context to
another context that shared similar characteristics – or more formally how "improvement in one
mental function" could influence another related one. Their theory implied that transfer of learning
depends on the proportion to which the learning task and the transfer task are similar, or where
"identical elements are concerned in the influencing and influenced function", now known as
identical element theory. Transfer research has since attracted much...show more content...
negative transfer
Starting by looking at the effect side of transfer – in terms of the common performance criteria,
speed and accuracy – transfer theories distinguish between two broad classes that underlie all other
classifications: negative andpositive transfer. Negative transfer refers to the impairment of current
learning and performance due to the application of non–adaptive or inappropriate information or
behavior. Therefore, negative transfer is a type of interference effect of prior experience causing a
slow–down in learning, completion or solving of a new task when compared to the performance of a
hypothetical control group with no respective prior experience. Positive transfer, in contrast,
emphasizes the beneficial effects of prior experience on current thinking and action. It is important
to understand that the positive and negative effects of transfer are not mutually exclusive, and
therefore real–life transfer effects are probably mostly a mixture of both. Positive transfer: transfer
of learning or training is said to be positive when the learning or training carried out in one situation
proves helpful to learning in another situation. Examples of such transfer are:
the knowledge and skills related to school mathematics help in the learning of statistical computation;
the knowledge and skills acquired in terms of addition and subtraction in mathematics in school may
help a child in the acquisition of knowledge and

Computer Science Essay
Computer Science Computer science is one of the fastest growing career fields in modern history.
Dating back only a few decades to the late 1950's and early 1960's, it has become on of the leading
industries in the world today. Developed through the technological architecture of electrical
engineering and the computational language of mathematics, the science of computer technology has
provided considerable recognition and financial gain for many of its well deserving pioneers.
Originally conceived as an organizational solution to the massive amounts of information kept on
nothing more than paper, computers have evolved and advanced to become a common part of
modern day life. In the early days of the computer age, the newest and most...show more content...
It is essentially the brain of the computer and though it is the main determining factor in the
processing power of the computer as a whole, many other parts of the machine are just as important
in overall performance. Many people don't know this and that is how computer corporations have
cheated people out of their money for so many years by selling them cheep systems with high
megahertz numbers for the processors in them. This is one reason for the success of the computer
industry. When people find out that they have been cheated, they will try to learn more about the
product and probably end up spending more money next time. Either way the computer companies
always win. A career in the field ofcomputer science has been proven to be a worthwhile direction
for any young enthusiast and this tren is looking just as bright in the new millenium. Computer
science and technology has much to offer in anyone of its many career paths. Whether working with
a large multinational corporation or a smaller private company on computer hardware or software in
engineering or programming, the possibilities and opportunities are endless and are increasing
everyday. One reason the computer industry is so promising is that virtually every industry in the
world depends on computers to operate. This creates an increasingly large and permanent demand
for computer hardware, software, and the technical knowledge to create and use them. Computer

Essay on Common Teenage Problems
Teenage is a fundamental stage of life that each human being passes through. Some people face this
period of their life strongly and positively, while others face many problems and difficulties. This
depends on the environment these young adults live in, their parents, their friends, their living
conditions, their education, and many other factors. Teenagers face many problems such as
becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol, being influenced negatively by their peers, self–image and
weight, or even arguments with their parents
Drugs between teenagers is one of the most serious problems, because it causes a change in the
behavior of any teenager and a physical change too. Most of the teenagers use alcoholic drinks as a
way to escape...show more content...
Peer pressure has always been present and will also always be present. It is not a disease or a
crime, it is an influence; either a negative or a positive one. Negative peer pressure is an influence
put on a person to do something wrong, or something the person doesn't want to do. This may be
stealing, taking drugs, or other dangerous actions. If someone influences you into doing
something like this it is considered a negative peer pressure. This is a major problem in most
schools all around the world. Teenagers usually feel peer pressure when they feel unpopular
between their friends, or when they want to be accepted in a group of other teenagers. The group
is a place where one feels accepted, where he can feel good about himself, where he feels secure. It
increases his self esteem, and it also enhances his self–image. Unfortunately, teenagers who want to
be part of these groups, need to follow certain unpleasant routines, such as stealing, smoking, taking
drugs, or drinking alcohol. Many times they do things that they would never have imagined
themselves doing before meeting a new group of people. Some teens try to make the
"right" decision so others will admire them. Having parents or other responsible adults
they can turn to for help or advice is crucial at this point in a teen's life.
Teenagers might also face self–image or weight problems. One of the main illnesses that comes from
these

Essay about networks
Improving Network Performance
Nowadays, it seems that everyone has a computer and is discovering that communication
technologies are necessary. E–mail, Internet, and file transferring has become a part of the modern
world. Networks allow people to connect their computers together and to share resources. They allow
people to communicate and interact with each other. The days of the lone PC are diminishing.
At the same time, computers are getting faster than ever. The most powerful PC five years ago
couldn't be sold for half of its original price today. This poses some problems to the consumer.New
technologies can't be driven by older technology. As innovations continue to be invented, the
computer of yesterday is fast outpaced by the...show more content...
Modems, a popular communications device, typically have throughput rates from 9600 baud (See
Glossary) to 28800 baud. Modems use an RS232 or serial port connection.
One solution to this transmission speed is the parallel or Centronics port. This port transmits eight
bits at a time instead of one with a serial port, which is how they got their names. Because it sends
eight bits at a time, a parallel port can achieve transfer rates of up to 40,000 bits or 5000 characters
a second (Seyer 64). Parallel ports are commonly used to connect to printers and external storage
devices.
The main problem with modems and parallel ports is that only two computers can be connected at
one time. Networks were invented to solve this. They allowed a group of computers to
communicate and to share resources such as hard disk space and printers. Different types of
networks have different throughput rates, but all are higher than either serial or parallel ports. The
type of network used at Banks High School is an Ethernet network with software from Novell. This
network has the capability of supporting transfer rates up to ten megabits per second (Bennett 1).
Although this seems like a lot, remember that all of the computers on the network are using this
connection at the same time and each computer has to share with every other computer. There are a
few ways to speed up a slow Ethernet network, however. Splitting the responsibility from one server
to many is one way, and using more than one

A Study On Heat Transfer Essay
Chapter 1. Heat Transfer
1.1Interoduction
Energy can not be created and can not be destroy ,it is a universal truth . Energy which may find out
in various forms.for example kinetic energy, potential energy, thermal energy etc. so that heat is the
form of thermal energy.According to human various purposes same energy can uses in various
places. In this case the transfer of energy is very important. There are various methods bywhich we
can transform energy from one form to another. But it depands on the modes of heat transfer. There
are three types or modes on the heat transfer such as..
1.2Types or modes of heat transfer
1.2.1Conduction
It is basically a microscopic level phenomenon. In this process, highly energetic particles of its
substance transfer their energy to their less energetic neighbour .Conduction shown in fig. 1.1
Fig.1.1 One Dimension Heat Conduction(snapshot)
T1: Hot temperature(k)
T2: Cold tempreture(k)
Q: The heat flow by conduction in the x–direction (W) A : The area through which the heat flows,
normal to the x–direction (M) dT/dx: This is temperature gradient in the x–direction (K/m)
These terms are related by Fourier 's Law, a model proposed as early as 1822:
Q = –KAdT/dx or q= –dT/dx
A significant feature of this equation is the negative sign. This recognises that the natural direction
for the flow of heat is from high temperature to low temperature, and hence down the temperature

Technology Transfer Essay
Technology transfer could be so complicated at times to exploredue to all the tasks require to be
able to give a full analysis of what is involve and the process that one has to go through. Although
many people have tried tracing the source of precise technology and how it affected the originating
culture and the role it has on history. However, there are some common fundamentals that could be
helpful in analyzing all the activities that are involved. Some of the clue that has been of help so far
identifying technology transfer is what is being transferred, where technology is transferred from,
those receiving transferred, and lastly how the technology is delivered to the receiver. To better
understand how technology transfer work in...show more content...
Another form of formal channel of technology transfer is turnkey plant. In this type of technology
transfer, the donor basically takes the responsibility production in their foreign subsidiary by using
several technical knowledges and skills transferred from the donor. Furthermore, licensing is another
form formal channel of technology transfer. It is one of the inevitable when transferring technology
from one country to the other. Still another area of formal technology transfer is entrepreneurial
science that employs the agreements all over the world in which knowledge is transferred into
intellectual property. Nevertheless, exportation of manufactured goods is also another formal
channel of transferring technology from one country to the other such as cars, electronics etc.
Another form of transfer of technology is informal channel. Informal channel of technology transfer
is usually Noncommercial Avenue. It involves government agreement among the countries that are
involves in technology transfers. There are also scientific and technical publications that will also be
carried out. Furthermore, seminars, conferences, and trades shown are also needed for informal
channel of technology transfer. One thing we should not ignore in this chapter is the rate in which
many recipient countries are adapting to the new technology. For example,

Transfer Pricing
Transfer Pricing An Overview Transfer pricing is a popular topic in management accounting. It is
concerned with the price when one department (the selling department) provides goods or services
to another department (the buying department). That is, one department generates revenue from the
sales of goods or services and the other department incurs expenses from the purchases of goods or
services. Transfer pricing is closely related to responsibility accounting in which each department is
responsible for its cost, revenue, expense or investment return depending on the type of centre it is.
Thus, transfer pricing effectiveness is essential to the success of the overall company. The related
key issue is the determination of a transfer...show more content...
Even in a situation where the sub–unit B has no excess capacity, that is, it can sell its total output to
outsiders at Rs 100 per unit, the decision of the sub–unit A to restrict its output at a level lower than
its achievable capacity might be sub–optimal for the firm as a whole. Assume that the firm earns a
contribution of Rs 100 per unit on the final product, the output of the sub–unit A. The contribution is
higher than the contribution of Rs 60 per unit on the intermediate product. The firm loses the
opportunity to earn higher profit by using the intermediate product internally in the sub–unit A
instead of selling the same to outsiders. In summary, the main advantage of market–based transfer
prices is that they are objective and unbiased measures, although they might fluctuate because of
market conditions over time. Further, they are difficult to manipulate. A disadvantage of a
market–based transfer price is that the prices for some commodities can fluctuate widely and quickly.
Companies sometimes attempt to protect divisional managers from these large unpredictable price
changes. Cost–based Transfer Prices: Cost–based transfer prices can also align managerial incentives
with corporate goals, if various factors are properly considered, including the outside market
opportunities for both divisions, and possible capacity constraints of the selling division. First

The Form 1040 indoctrinate tax filers for information on their filing status and number of dependents, the income section includes wages, salary, taxable interest, capital gains and other types of income. filers can claim deductions for expenses, education, moving expenses and many other categories. In Taxation course I've learned how to do individual tax returns and calculate tax liabilities. We used different tax rates, gross income, calculate the federal income tax regulations, charitable deductions. For income tax topic which is designed to us to go more in–depth understanding of how it can affect individuals and businesses. We've done a lot of exercises on how to figure income tax for individuals, partnerships, and businesses. • 2. Transfer of Learning Transfer of learning is the study of the dependency of human conduct, learning, or performance on prior experience. The notion was originally introduced as transfer of practice by Edward Thorndike and Robert S. Woodworth. They explored how individuals would transfer learning in one context to another context that shared similar characteristics – or more formally how "improvement in one mental function" could influence another related one. Their theory implied that transfer of learning depends on the proportion to which the learning task and the transfer task are similar, or where "identical elements are concerned in the influencing and influenced function", now known as identical element theory. Transfer research has since attracted much...show more content... negative transfer Starting by looking at the effect side of transfer – in terms of the common performance criteria, speed and accuracy – transfer theories distinguish between two broad classes that underlie all other classifications: negative andpositive transfer. Negative transfer refers to the impairment of current learning and performance due to the application of non–adaptive or inappropriate information or behavior. Therefore, negative transfer is a type of interference effect of prior experience causing a slow–down in learning, completion or solving of a new task when compared to the performance of a hypothetical control group with no respective prior experience. Positive transfer, in contrast, emphasizes the beneficial effects of prior experience on current thinking and action. It is important to understand that the positive and negative effects of transfer are not mutually exclusive, and therefore real–life transfer effects are probably mostly a mixture of both. Positive transfer: transfer of learning or training is said to be positive when the learning or training carried out in one situation proves helpful to learning in another situation. Examples of such transfer are: the knowledge and skills related to school mathematics help in the learning of statistical computation; the knowledge and skills acquired in terms of addition and subtraction in mathematics in school may help a child in the acquisition of knowledge and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is essentially the brain of the computer and though it is the main determining factor in the processing power of the computer as a whole, many other parts of the machine are just as important in overall performance. Many people don't know this and that is how computer corporations have cheated people out of their money for so many years by selling them cheep systems with high megahertz numbers for the processors in them. This is one reason for the success of the computer industry. When people find out that they have been cheated, they will try to learn more about the product and probably end up spending more money next time. Either way the computer companies always win. A career in the field ofcomputer science has been proven to be a worthwhile direction for any young enthusiast and this tren is looking just as bright in the new millenium. Computer science and technology has much to offer in anyone of its many career paths. Whether working with a large multinational corporation or a smaller private company on computer hardware or software in engineering or programming, the possibilities and opportunities are endless and are increasing everyday. One reason the computer industry is so promising is that virtually every industry in the world depends on computers to operate. This creates an increasingly large and permanent demand for computer hardware, software, and the technical knowledge to create and use them. Computer games have Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay on Common Teenage Problems Teenage is a fundamental stage of life that each human being passes through. Some people face this period of their life strongly and positively, while others face many problems and difficulties. This depends on the environment these young adults live in, their parents, their friends, their living conditions, their education, and many other factors. Teenagers face many problems such as becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol, being influenced negatively by their peers, self–image and weight, or even arguments with their parents Drugs between teenagers is one of the most serious problems, because it causes a change in the behavior of any teenager and a physical change too. Most of the teenagers use alcoholic drinks as a way to escape...show more content... Peer pressure has always been present and will also always be present. It is not a disease or a crime, it is an influence; either a negative or a positive one. Negative peer pressure is an influence put on a person to do something wrong, or something the person doesn't want to do. This may be stealing, taking drugs, or other dangerous actions. If someone influences you into doing something like this it is considered a negative peer pressure. This is a major problem in most schools all around the world. Teenagers usually feel peer pressure when they feel unpopular between their friends, or when they want to be accepted in a group of other teenagers. The group is a place where one feels accepted, where he can feel good about himself, where he feels secure. It increases his self esteem, and it also enhances his self–image. Unfortunately, teenagers who want to be part of these groups, need to follow certain unpleasant routines, such as stealing, smoking, taking drugs, or drinking alcohol. Many times they do things that they would never have imagined themselves doing before meeting a new group of people. Some teens try to make the "right" decision so others will admire them. Having parents or other responsible adults they can turn to for help or advice is crucial at this point in a teen's life. Teenagers might also face self–image or weight problems. E–mail, Internet, and file transferring has become a part of the modern world. Networks allow people to connect their computers together and to share resources. They allow people to communicate and interact with each other. The days of the lone PC are diminishing. At the same time, computers are getting faster than ever. The most powerful PC five years ago couldn't be sold for half of its original price today. This poses some problems to the consumer.New technologies can't be driven by older technology. Modems, a popular communications device, typically have throughput rates from 9600 baud (See Glossary) to 28800 baud. Modems use an RS232 or serial port connection. One solution to this transmission speed is the parallel or Centronics port. This port transmits eight bits at a time instead of one with a serial port, which is how they got their names. Because it sends eight bits at a time, a parallel port can achieve transfer rates of up to 40,000 bits or 5000 characters a second (Seyer 64). Parallel ports are commonly used to connect to printers and external storage devices. The main problem with modems and parallel ports is that only two computers can be connected at one time. Networks were invented to solve this. They allowed a group of computers to communicate and to share resources such as hard disk space and printers. Different types of networks have different throughput rates, but all are higher than either serial or parallel ports. The type of network used at Banks High School is an Ethernet network with software from Novell. This network has the capability of supporting transfer rates up to ten megabits per second (Bennett 1). Although this seems like a lot, remember that all of the computers on the network are using this connection at the same time and each computer has to share with every other computer. There are a few ways to speed up a slow Ethernet network, however. Splitting the responsibility from one server to many is one way, and using more than one Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Energy which may find out in various forms.for example kinetic energy, potential energy, thermal energy etc. so that heat is the form of thermal energy.According to human various purposes same energy can uses in various places. In this case the transfer of energy is very important. There are various methods bywhich we can transform energy from one form to another. But it depands on the modes of heat transfer. There are three types or modes on the heat transfer such as.. 1.2Types or modes of heat transfer 1.2.1Conduction It is basically a microscopic level phenomenon. In this process, highly energetic particles of its substance transfer their energy to their less energetic neighbour .Conduction shown in fig. 1.1 Fig.1.1 One Dimension Heat Conduction(snapshot) T1: Hot temperature(k) T2: Cold tempreture(k) Q: The heat flow by conduction in the x–direction (W) A : The area through which the heat flows, normal to the x–direction (M) dT/dx: This is temperature gradient in the x–direction (K/m) These terms are related by Fourier 's Law, a model proposed as early as 1822: Q = –KAdT/dx or q= –dT/dx A significant feature of this equation is the negative sign. This recognises that the natural direction for the flow of heat is from high temperature to low temperature, and hence down the temperature Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 8. Transfer Pricing Transfer Pricing An Overview Transfer pricing is a popular topic in management accounting. It is concerned with the price when one department (the selling department) provides goods or services to another department (the buying department). That is, one department generates revenue from the sales of goods or services and the other department incurs expenses from the purchases of goods or services. Transfer pricing is closely related to responsibility accounting in which each department is responsible for its cost, revenue, expense or investment return depending on the type of centre it is. Thus, transfer pricing effectiveness is essential to the success of the overall company. The related key issue is the determination of a transfer...show more content... Even in a situation where the sub–unit B has no excess capacity, that is, it can sell its total output to outsiders at Rs 100 per unit, the decision of the sub–unit A to restrict its output at a level lower than its achievable capacity might be sub–optimal for the firm as a whole. Assume that the firm earns a contribution of Rs 100 per unit on the final product, the output of the sub–unit A. The contribution is higher than the contribution of Rs 60 per unit on the intermediate product. The firm loses the opportunity to earn higher profit by using the intermediate product internally in the sub–unit A instead of selling the same to outsiders. In summary, the main advantage of market–based transfer prices is that they are objective and unbiased measures, although they might fluctuate because of market conditions over time. Further, they are difficult to manipulate. A disadvantage of a market–based transfer price is that the prices for some commodities can fluctuate widely and quickly. Companies sometimes attempt to protect divisional managers from these large unpredictable price changes. Cost–based Transfer Prices: Cost–based transfer prices can also align managerial incentives with corporate goals, if various factors are properly considered, including the outside market opportunities for both divisions, and possible capacity constraints of the selling division.
