10. SQUARE LASHING
• Square Lashing is used to
tie two poles together at
an angle of 90º. E.g. To
construct a ladder, table or
improvised raft.
• When done properly it will
hold together even during
the most vigorous of
activities.
30. DIAGONAL LASHING
• The diagonal lashing is
used to lash two spars
together. Unlike the
square lashing which
works for right angle
crossings, the diagonal
lashing secures poles
crossing each other at
a variety of angles.
