Quantitative
Questionnaire.
“DECISIONS”– FINAL SHORT FILM
Question 1
Results show that 76.92%
are female , 23.08% are
males.
According to the questionnaire most of our
audience are between 17-19 , therefore in
order to create a familiar relationship , our
two characters will be around the same
age category.
Question 2
Question 3
It was good news to find out that
most of our respondents were in
education , however , we hope to
deliver a persuasive message
about not dropping out of
education to the 8% of
respondents who are not.
Question 4
As the goal of our short film
is to directly appeal to the
viewer, the aim of this
question is to find out their
preferences. By the results
our questionnaire , it is very
likely that our final product
will last between 6 to 10
minutes as it received
46.15% being the highest
rated.
Question 5
The purpose of this question was to
find out whether teenagers consider
education one of their top priorities.
This responses will influence the props,
setting and costumes. Due to the
responses we will include objects that
associate with education , such as
books, pen, pencils, paper and
glasses. In the media glass are often
linked to geeks who are stereotyped
are boring and intelligent.
Question 6
As our final short film is an academic piece of work the fact that
84.42% of our audience is not willing to pay , is not an issue as
independent film are generally produced not to gain revenue ,
but to capture real social issues. Additionally as our target
audience are teenagers between 13 to 18 year olds , we do
not expect them to pay.
Question 7
Results shows that 84.62% of
our audience would use
online devices to watch
Meaning that in this era
technology is more
advanced and easy to
interact , therefore
teenagers are more likely to
access online sources , such
as Youtube and Facebook.
Question 8
Results show that our target
audience watch short films once
in a while, perhaps they are not
so popular compared to
Hollywood films, as a large
amount of money is spent to
publish them.
Question 9
Question 10
Qualitative
Questionnaire
“DECISIONS” – FINAL SHORT FILM
Question 1 Question 2 Question 3
Question 4 Question 5
Evaluation of questionnaire.
 The reason for using questionnaire, is to get the audience feedback
in order to base our short film on their interest, thus to appeal directly
to our target audience.
 We wanted to collect both qualitative and quantitative data, to
have variance in our results, for instance qualitative data allowed
the audience to be more engaged and free as it is based on
opinions, while the quantitative data allowed us to be in control and
get specific and accurate results from the respondents.
 The quantitative data helped us to guarantee that we would meet
the target audience. Obtaining an overview of the target
audience, we were also able to put information into clear charts
and tables, through Prezi (software).
Evaluation of questionnaire
 “Decisions” is a media product aimed at 13-18 year olds, because
the film displays an educational message. We decided our target
audience to be between this age range, because it is the most
crucial period of a teenager’s life, when education is compulsory
and free, like an opportunity to have a turning point. The data
influenced our production choices.
