12. Classroom Procedures
1. Attend to personal needs before coming
to class.
I have been instructed NOT to limit passes, so
please do not ask for a pass unless you have a
true emergency. Bring your pencil and paper
everyday! This is high school.
We do not give passes the first or last fifteen
minutes of class so that the behavior techs can
clear the halls.
13. Classroom Procedures
2. Come to class on time.
Standing outside the door and rushing in after
the bell has begun to ring will constitute a tardy.
You must be INSIDE the door when it begins
ringing to be counted on time.
14. Classroom Procedures
3. Begin the start-up/warm-up activity within
1 minute after the tardy bell.
Directions will be on the projection screen/ on
the board/ worksheet. Please do not wait for
me to remind you to begin since I need to take
roll and attend other duties for the first few
minutes of the period. When I begin class,
directions for start up/warm-up may be taken
down, so don’t delay.
15. Classroom Procedures
4. Remain in your seat during instructions.
Do not disrupt the instruction by sharpening
your pencil, throwing away trash, or by getting
out of your seat.
Wait until it is an appropriate time to attend to
your needs.
16. Classroom Procedures
5. Be tidy and ask before touching things
that do not belong to you.
We share this classroom. Please do not adjust
the blinds, erase the board, or touch things that
do not belong to you without getting permission
first.
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of
your room. This is your second home.
17. Classroom Procedures
6. Talk only when permitted and remain on
task.
Be aware of the situation since quiet talking is
allowed in some situations and speaking to the
entire group without raising your hand may be
allowed in others. I will remind you once and
expect compliance.
18. Classroom Procedures

Unkind teasing and impolite behavior is
