  2. 2. Thesis Statement <ul><li>Nature vs. Nurture play a key role in serial killers. Nature is more like disorders, genetics, and adoption. Where is Nurture is more neglect, physical abuse, and substance abuse. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Disorders & Genetic Traits <ul><li>Schizophrenia </li></ul><ul><li>Personality Disorder </li></ul><ul><li>ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder) </li></ul><ul><li>ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder) </li></ul><ul><li>Ted Bundy </li></ul>
  4. 4. Gender = Males vs. Females <ul><li>Females motive are usually money, materialistic objects, attention seeking behavior, and need to over power. </li></ul><ul><li>Males motive are usually revenge and/or need to over power. </li></ul>

Physical Abuse <ul><li>Usually the sole excuse for Serial killers. </li></ul><ul><li>Disciplinary is use to “Toughen up” their child. </li></ul><ul><li>Trust becomes an issue that leads to isolation and then intense violent fantasies. </li></ul><ul><li>Sexual Homicides: Patterns and Motives </li></ul>

  9. 9. Conclusion <ul><li>My conclusion is that Nature and Nurture both play a role in serial killers weather it’s disorders and genetics to physical abuse and neglect. So next time when you see a serial killer on the news remember he/she probably have a past that no one took the time to help the with. </li></ul><ul><li>Thank you! </li></ul>
