1. The images in this digipak link in with Laura Mulvey’s theory, ‘The male
gaze theory’. The images have been taken in a certain way to entice the
male gender, and to advertise her album. And it also engages some young
girls to admire the way she looks, and to then buy the album. It works in
both ways, and is a clever way to attract the audience. And also by the
artist looking into the camera in both the images, it is as if she is making
eye contact with you (the audience), drawing you in.
