REACTION PPT

  1. 1. CHEMISTRY POWERPOINT PRESENTATIO N
  2. 2. REACTIONS
  3. 3. Chemical Reaction:-The process in which a substance undergoes change to give new properties is called Chemical Reaction. The way to represent a Chemical Reaction by using a symbols and formulas of substances.
  4. 4. The reaction in which two or more than two reactants to give single product is called Combination Reaction. E.g. C + O2 = CO2 H2 + Cl2 = 2HCl Combination Reaction
  5. 5. DISPLACEMENT Reaction A reaction in which more reactive element replace the less reactive element from its solution is known as Displacement Reaction. E.g. Mg + CuSo4 = MgSo4 + Cu Fe + CuSo4 = FeSo4 + Cu
  6. 6. DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT Reaction A reaction in which ions interchange their position is called Double Displacement Reaction. E.g. NaCl + AgNo3 = AgCl + NaNo3
  7. 7. redox Reaction A reaction in which oxidation andreduction take place togather is called Redox Reaction.
  8. 8. Decomposition Reaction :- A reaction in which one reactants take into two or more product is called Decomposition Reaction.
  9. 9. Thermal decomposition The decomposition reaction followed by heat is called Thermal Decomposition Reaction. E.g. CaCo3 = CaO + Co2
  10. 10. Electrolytic decomposition The decomposition reaction followed by electricity is called Electrolytic Decomposition Reaction. E.g. 2H2o = 2H2 + O2
  11. 11. Photolytic decomposition The decomposition reaction followed by light is called Photolytic Decomposition Reaction.
  12. 12. BALANCED CHEMICAL EQUTIONS
  13. 13. NaH2PO4 = NaPO3 + H2O H2CO3 = H2O + CO2 BaSO4 + H2SO4 = Ba(HSO4)2 CaCO3 = CaO + CO2 CaO + H2O = Ca(OH)2
  14. 14. H2SO3 = H2O + SO2 SO3 + H2O = H2SO4 Be(OH)2 = BeO + H2O BaO + H2O = Ba(OH)2 Na2SO3 + S = Na2S2O3
  15. 15. SO2 + H2O -> H2SO3 P4 + O2 -> P2O5 Sb + O2 -> Sb4O6 Na2O + H2O -> NaOH N2O5 + H2O -> HNO3
