Parrot Life History
Squeak, squeak. A baby parrot was born in San Diego, California. There were about 2 weeks left
of summer, and before the family would fly down south for the winter. The family wanted him to
fly before they left, so he practiced for a week trying to fly. The family prepared and eventually left
to South America. The family lived like they did for 4 months and flew back when they thought it
was a good time to go. The baby parrot was left behind. The parrot did not know what to do, so he
went out exploring for birds or at least someone he could talk to. After 10 minutes of looking, he
found a whole tree full of parrots like him. He thought he would talk to them but the other parrots
did not know what he was saying.

The animal that I chose to do research was a parrot. Most of these birds mainly came from a local
ancestor by the name of Cretaceous which came from a dry and warm climate Parrots are a type
of bird that is well known for its color on its wings. The way that they came up was by ancestor that
laid eggs and then the bird will hatch from the egg. When it hatches into a little bird it will start to
grow into an adult bird. Depending on the climate of the Parrot which is a dry and warm climate
mainly from South America,Australia, and Central America. So it needed to adapt to this climate by
adapting to its environment in order for it to survive in the hot climate. The parrots ancestors came a
rare species of bird known as the Cretaceous a dinosaur like creature that lived in the early
formation of the Earth known as Gondwana. These birds have been around for a long time this is
why these birds are still around today. Most of its late ancestors either had a long beak or they
will have a short beak. The late ancestors that had a long with either had eaten bugs that had a hard
shell that needed to be cracked in order for them to eat. The ones with a short beak will eat fruits
that required them to get into the fruit so they are able to eat the fruit that is inside. Also these...show

Like since it lived in a warm and dry climate the organism started to change like most organism
like small bugs they either moved underground to hide from the predators that will hunt them
down. So the parrot needed to develop a color on their feathers so they are able to capture or eat
some of the small bugs on the ground and they will grow a long beak so they are able to eat them
easier. When the parrot eats fruit they will develop a small beak so they are able to eat the fruit
without having a problem of them trying to get into the

The Benefits Of Parrots
Parrots are highly intelligent and intuitive. These birds have been monitored and tested for their
cognitive and intellectual abilities and the results have shown that they possess a similar intelligence
level to that of a young human child. For many owners part of the appeal of parrots is the ability to
teach them tricks. Teaching newparrot tricks is not only entertaining for both the owner and the
parrot but it has the added benefit of helping improve the parrots behavior and it has a positive
effect on the sociability of the bird also.
Teaching a parrot is similar to teaching a child in that you should keep the sessions short and
impactive and do not let boredom or tiredness become a factor which could possibly turn the training

As well as their striking colors they are a popular parrot to own because of their vocal abilities.
They are considered a close runner up to the African Grey species which is widely held as the
number one talker in the world of parrots. As with many parrots, all Amazon's have the ability to
talk but not all of them actually do, this depends on each individual bird where some birds will
never talk and others turn out to be great talkers. Many consider Yellow headed Amazons to be
the loudest of all Amazons and being playful birds they like to receive attention from their owners
and families by being loud. This loud squawking or screeching however can be trained out of the
parrot with human speech training which most owners opt to do. Overall they are very active,
humorous and intelligent parrots but like most large parrot species they can be destructive which
is why it is recommended that owners buy quite a few chewable toys and branches. Yellow headed
Amazon's are happiest when their environment allows them to move around and fly, so an aviary
is an ideal environment but an indoor cage can suffice as long as the parrot receives plenty of
exercise each day. Yellow headed Amazon's have been found to be easy to train and

How can we consider Jimmy Buffet as members of a reference group? A brand community. The
definition of a reference group is the people of whose attitudes, behavior, beliefs, opinions,
preferences, and values are used by an individual as the basis for his or her judgment. One does
not have to be (or even aspire to be) a member of a reference group to be negatively or positively
influenced by its characteristics. Jimmy Buffet fans are a part of reference group because they
each relate to each other with similar beliefs and behaviors and all have a common bond in

5 Things you MUST know about your favorite pets – Parrots
Parrots are one of the best gifts of nature, almost fairy tail like appearance makes them one of the
favorite choice as companions and pets. Here are 5 things that Every keeper should know about his
/her bird1. Behavioral Problems?
After a lot of research through the years the consensus is that Parrots present problems less
frequently than most of the other pets, Especially the exotic ones, like Macaws, African Grey and
Cockatiels. These species have stable temperaments and are less probable to show aggressive
behavior. Macaws, even the smaller ones have a wonderful sense of "bigness", result of their genetic
traits, and can sometimes overreact to unfamiliar objects or something they see as a threat. Other
species like cockatiels, African Grey Parrot, small Budgies can show aggressive behavior during the
mating season, especially males. They have a sense of protectiveness for their offspring–soon to be
hatched. Wild parrots like Indian Ring Necks have lots of problems being confined to smaller
spaces and can injure their keepers in aggression.2. Soothing or Noisy?...show more content...
The important thing here is the Introduction phase, you need to be very cautious when
introducing two birds, because this moment will decide rest of their stay. Take extra care when
introducing a smaller bird to a significantly larger one. To introduce them to each other you need
to give them at least 1 day to get familiar with each other, keep their cages side by side, such that
one bird can see the other. On the Next day let the birds play in the same area for some time, but
keep a closer eye on them, do this for 2–3 days and if you see them getting along well then you can
put them together. Else if one of the birds is getting aggressive then give them some more time to
familiarize with each other a little

Language does makes humans different from other animals. Language allows humans to
communicate verbally, visually, or written and powerfully. Although most animals can communicate,
either verbally on nonverbally, humans can do it with precision and efficiency unprecedented. The
communication between bacteria, honeybees, and birds show that language makes us different.
Bacteria communicate by secreting molecules to show its presence to others. This is similar to the
part human communication of a greeting but also very different from human language in the way
that there is real interaction. The bacteria are building up to attack but there is no real
communication. Language would be an advantage in this situation in the reason that the bacteria

Language is much more than arranging particular sounds, songs, calls, or movement. It is used to
express thoughts and feelings and can even be used to deceive others or tell jokes. No other animal
communication system can put messages together like this. Humans require a certain anatomy in
order to create speech. The larynx is further down the throat which allows us to enunciate clearly and
produce different sounds. Other animals do not have this anatomy meaning that they physically
cannot speak. Chimpanzees for example have thinner tongues and a higher vocal box. Human brains
are born with the circuitry for speech and language and chimp brains are not. This has not restricted
them to develop language, just simply not at the level of humans. Humans learn tens of thousands of
words within a few years. Language is a uniqueness of humans and makes us different from other

Essay About Parrot
Long time ago the Parrot did not have any colors, it was just plain white. Parrot had always
wished that he had different colors like the other animals like zebras, tigers and many other
animals, he always felt that he just didn't fit in with the other animals. The other animals thought
that parrot was boring because he was plain white and that they could not have fun with him.
Parrot would get so upset that he would just hide somewhere and stay there for hours so the other
animals would not see him and could not make fun of him, sometimes parrot would mix some
fruits into a liquid and put it all over him but the colors would not look as beautiful as he was
expecting them to look and would easily come off. and he even sometimes would put...show more

permanent.
Parrot and Squirrel headed back home and Parrot thanked Squirrel for helping him too. Parrot
headed towards a cave and stayed there all day till next morning. When Parrot woke up he heard
many animals, so Parrot got out of the cave and saw the king looking at each animal carefully, so
Parrot went flying towards where the other animals where, when the other animals saw Parrot they
were confused, they asked each other who was that, so Parrot answered saying, "its me Parrot".
When the other animals heard him say that, they were amazed of how Beautiful Parrot looked, they
were talking of how many colors Parrot had and told Parrot how beautiful he looked. The king saw
Parrot flying in the air and told him to come down, so Parrot got down and the king admired the
