Lakeland students learn how to put together a portfolio of their work and have it ready for showing prospective employers and clients. Interior design technology is a two-year diploma program at Lakeland College in Vermilion, Alberta, Canada.
2. NKBA Kitchen Design
Criteria:
Abundant counter space for food preparation
Incorporation of a wine collection within the design
Cabinet systems that allow for easy and
accessible organization
Casual dining for guests and large groups of

3. Accomplishments
On this project meeting the clients were very
specific to their needs and wants. This was a main
challenge to accomplish all these tasks.
Designing a custom range hood was fun and
allowed myself to expand on the overall design

DesignCriteria:
Client was concerned with a seamless conversion from a
shower to a walk-in bathtub
The master shower should offer them the ability and
room to both shower
It was required to have a staging area to lay out the next
day’s wardrobe
The water closet area to have storage
14. Accomplishments
The toilet was not to be moved because of current
plumbing stacks
That was a great deal of challenges during the design
I learnt a lot of newer materials and features that can be
incorporated into designs like these.
I was successful in providing the clients with their needs
and allowing for all the NKBA guidelines

This project was very fun because it was very
conceptual, only thoughts and ideas were put into
this project which made it that much more

A traditional freestanding country home situated in an
open landscape
Applying the goal of sustainability and the development
of the dwelling and landscape.
Interior and Exterior expectations include an Entry, living
and dining, kitchen and bath, guest sleeping area,
furniture, studio work space, parking, and a garden

Shadow study
Criteria:
To take a picture of a local building casting shadows in
the town of Vermillion, AB and render in black and white
emphasizing on the shadows seen

Criteria:
To design a retail store in a large mall
To design the interior of the store and store front
To design the branding of the store
This store is a men’s clothing store

The challenges I faced in this project was where to
place merchandise and products
