This is some examples of my work as an interior design student and Winthrop University. This includes examples of projects that I have completed showing uses of CAD, Revit, Floor plans, hand renderings, and construction documents.
2. Kain Project
Design Concept
The concept of this design is base off the culture
of the company. They explain that “our services
are somewhat traditional our delivery is truly
progressive”. I took this idea and developed a
design that is very modern in form but has a
more traditional and warm feel the them by
using warm and inviting materials and finishes
while keeping furniture and spaces in simple
clean lines. There is also a combination of large
open spaces and closed offices and multi-use
rooms to support a collaborative office
environment.
Process
• Given building shell and program
• Use of CAD and Sketch up to produce

4. Kitchen Project
Design Concept
To make this kitchen work best for the client and
her family I developed a space that would be
safer for her family. Rachel and Michael
Stewarts have a son that an autistic 10 year-old
that needs a safer environment then their
current kitchen. One way I did this was lowering
the seating areas to avoid the use of tall stools
as well as placing all of the more dangerous
kitchen appliances behind the island. The
mother also expressed concern over the child
getting confused between homework area and
dinner table because of his autistic personality.
To solve this I added a benched dining area
separate from the island as well as giving them
different types of materials. Autistic kids have to
have routine and like everything to have its own
place, so by having these different spaces will
make the space much less stressful for the child
and parent alike.
Process
• Autistic research
• Construction documents in CAD
• Full room development in Sketch-up
9. Jewelry Store
Design Concept
The concept for Endless Jewelers is the concept
that love is endless. To represent that the
infinity sign is used to give the space a meaning
and a flow. Curved jewelry casework will hold
the bulk of the merchandise while more
spotlight items will be showcased in columns
allowing for a 360 degree view, just as you might
view an item in a art gallery. Large ceiling
features highlight the display cases with
descending tubes of cut glass with colorful lights
giving it a sparkle affect.
Process
• Developed and drafted by hand
• Full 2-point perspective drawn and
rendered by had
• Then put in AutoCAD
• Rendering in AutoCAD then put in a digital
presentation
11. Studio Appartment
Design Concept
The concept for this one bedroom studio is for a
busy working couple. It is designed to have a full
open space while still allowing for privacy. The
style of the apartment is vary much modern. The
space is laid out to use the minimal amount of
doors giving it a very clean style. The color
palate and material chosen have a clean look to
them with soft but vibrate blues and greens.
Simple mid-century modern furniture is used for
a clean but lived in look.
Process
• Hand drafted and rendered
• Presented on boards
13. Kendell Office Suite
Design Concept
Developed two possible floor plans and two
color schemes for a basic leased building for
small business.
Process
•Given building shell and program
•Drafted in CAD
•Developed Floor plan, power plan, and RCP
•Presentation material on a small board for
client
14. Whaley House
Design Concept
The design concept of the Whaley House, built
in 1893, in Columbia, South Carolina will be
restore the original Queen Anne style that is
characteristic of its time period while also
creating a productive working office space. The
flow of the building will incorporate the private
and collective work environment through
private offices and adjustable meeting rooms
while also keeping the natural layout of a typical
house. To do this I laid it out so that the private
offices were in the back of the house and the
conversation areas were at the vary beginning
connecting you to the conference rooms.
Another design implication that I used to make
this space really work is using compatible tables
and seating that could be moved from room to
room. The design of the space will incorporate
the southern design of downtown Columbia and
its influences.
Process
• Given detailed existing building plan and
program
• Developed a floor plan and FF&E
specifications.
• Drafted in CAD then hand drawn
15. Revit Office Model
Process
• Developed building shape from perimeters
• Designed site plan, leased area floor plan,
and workstation plans.
• Construction documents and 3D model
developed in Revit
