Microsoft Project Examines the theory and practice of project management
from a managerial perspective. Students define projects, determine resources
requirements, write requests for proposals, outline contract requirements, define
and sequence tasks, and create project schedules.
Excel Introduces key concepts to develop and analyze business spreadsheets.
Topics include formulas, formatting, logical, financial and lookup functions, charts,
pivot tables, data tables, and multiple workbooks. Projects integrate skills to

business organization. Students develop a positive attitude toward the human

▪ SpinIt, has been hired to conduct
focus groups to test a new product in
development. SpinIt has already
recruited the required 900
participants.
▪ All 900 participants will attend a 4
hour focus group session and will
be paid $50 for their work. Each
focus group session of 10
participants.
▪ Each focus group session will be led
by two facilitators. Facilitators
are paid $30/hour, and are not
allowed to work overtime. SpinIt may
hire as many facilitators as needed as
long as each group is staffed by two
facilitators.
▪ SpinIt plans to rent three conference
rooms to conduct these focus
groups. Each conference room can
be rented for $200/4 hours. The
conference rooms may be used
between the hours of 8am and
10pm, seven days per week. These
conference rooms are available for
use 3/23/2017.
▪ SpinIt has been asked to complete
this 900 participant focus group
project as quickly as possible.

16. Early 1900 home kitchen / laundry room / bath remodel. Single
homeowner with dog grooming business attached to home needed new
kitchen, laundry room, bath and improved access to business.
Working with contractor to remove everything including exterior walls at
center of home to access and rebuild foundation & structural framing.
Second story of home was supported on stilts. All the while homeowner
living and conducting business during construction. (NO tile broken in the
upper story bath.)
Collaboratively we redesign an efficient flow from business area into
kitchen / laundry room / bath and residence.
New kitchen included pantry, window and window treatments, cabinets,
granite counters, backsplash and tile floor.
Guest bath included all new fixtures, paint and accessories.
Homeowner loved my support during the process and continues to thank
me for the contribution to the project.

Selected wool carpet for its sustainability, durability, low
loop style and color. Determined the appropriate pad for
this type of installation.
Site measurements determined materials The same
amount of wood showing on each side of runner as is
transitioned from main level to second story.
Installer confirmed how each piece to be combined using
Hollywood method of tread wrap.
Carpet ordered, cutting for color approval required due to
the natural dying process which may change hue of wool.
Coordinated schedule with installer to precut carpet into
sizes needed, surged edges of pieces, returned for final
installation and inspection.
Resulting in a perfectly space runner going up wood
stairs.
