Now you can join the World Youth! Organize your group!
Registrations can now be made through the official website of WYD Rio2013 (www.rio2013.com),
It can be done in one of seven languages (English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese or
Spanish) and must be performed exclusively by the group leader.

First Step: Registration of the Group Leader
On the homepage you will access the registration by clicking on Pilgrims. A screen will open to
begin the registration. In this first step you must enter your information as group leader.
If you don't have a group, try to form one; but if you can't form a group and will perform your
registration as an individual, enter your information as group leader:
• Name; • City;
• Surname; • State;
• Mother's name and surname; • Telephone number
• Date of birth (it is necessary to inform the country code –
i.e.: 1 for USA, and the area code – i.e.: 212 for

Second Step: Registration of the Second Group Leader
After the registration of the group leader, a second group leader must be registered.
Preferably, in mixed gender groups, the group leader and the second group leader
should be a female and a male.
On the screen of the registration for the second group leader, the information
required and rules to fill out the registration will be the same as the ones for the
main leader. Pilgrims who perform the individual registration, must leave the
second leader information empty.
After the registration of the group leader and the second group leader, the first
phase of your registration is complete. You will receive in your e-mail a user ID
number and will be asked to create a password. Remember that the password is
personal and non-transferable, only the group leader will have access to it.
Your application is not complete. Is it still necessary to: complete the group leader
and second group leader information in the private area of the group. In the
main menu, click on “group members” in the two first lines click on modify and
complete the registration.
It is also necessary to register the group, the members of the group, make the choice
of the package and complete the payment. ONLY AT THE CONCLUSION OF ALL THESE
PHASES THE GROUP IS EFFECTIVELY ENROLLED IN THE WYD RIO2013.
After having the user ID number and password, access the home page of the registration again
and log in. You will enter the private area of the group.

Third Step: Registration of the Pilgrim Group
On the first access to the private area you will be asked to complete your registration. By doing this the following
group data will be requested:
• Group name
(you can choose a name that identifies your group, ex: XX UNIVERSITY, MOV XX);
• Entity type to which you belong
(parish, movement/new community, diocese, delegation or other);
• Name of the entity to which you belong;
• Group’s country;
• Language for the group’s communication
(English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese or Spanish);
• City of origin with destination to Rio de Janeiro
(where the group resides or where they will participate during Mission Week);
• Total number of group members
(groups can be formed with a maximum of 50 pilgrims. Groups with more than 50 pilgrims must be
divided into smaller groups, having respectively in each group two group leaders - the group leader
and the second group leader);
Within the group information, the choice must be made for a package option. Package options and values
are described in the table below, along with their respective ratings of countries and territories.
If requested by the group, the WYD Rio2013 can offer accommodation from the 14:00 hours of July 21st 2013 until
12:00 hours of July 30th 2013 - only for pilgrims who opted for the package with accommodation.

9. Registration of Pilgrims
All members of a group must choose the same package. Pilgrims who
want a different option should form another group.
During the registration it is also suggested a solidarity contribution. The
Solidarity Fund is a contribution so that pilgrims in less economically
favored countries may participate in the WYD Rio2013. Make this option
in the menu “pay”, in the field “Contribution made by each person to the
Solidarity contribution”. Don’t forget to make this option before choosing
the type of payment. PACKAGE
The Solidarity Contribution of the Brazilian Pilgrim Groups will be received
by the LOC - Local Committee Organizer of Rio de Janeiro (in reais, BLR).
The suggested amount is R$ 26,00 per person.
The Solidarity Contribution of the international Pilgrim Groups will be
received by the PCL - Pontifical Council for the Laity (in dolars or euro).
The suggested amount is US$13,00 or €10 per person. More precise
indications will be given on the website in the moment of payment.

Fourth Step: Registration of the Members of the Group
After filling in the group information, it is necessary to register • Date of arrival in Rio de Janeiro;

Last Step: Completing the payment
After having entered the group members, the group leader can perform the
payment. Remember that if the payment is made in its full amount, modifying the
number of group members will not be possible, only the group data and the group
members’ information can be changed.
Payment can be done in the following ways: international groups with credit card or
bank transfer. For Brazilians credit card or bank slip. Remember that payments may
take several days to be processed. To speed up the process pay by credit card.
Whenever the group leader logs-in there is access to the private area of the group
and all the information of the group.
We count on your cooperation to fill in the completely and correctly the fields of
the registration, following the instructions. This will help us organize the World Youth
Day Rio2013 so we can host you.

Mission Week
For those who already follow the World Youth Days, it is known that one week before the
event the dioceses host the so called "Days in the Dioceses". In the WYD Rio2013 these days
will receive another name: Mission Week. Mission Week will take place throughout
Brazil from 16 to 20 July 2013.
The registration for Mission Week is open only for international groups. Make your
registration through the private area of the group. Choose a state, a diocese and
number of group members whom will participate in Mission Week.

Link between groups
Large groups – those with more than 50 pilgrims, and that are divided into
smaller groups, of up to 50 people – may link the groups.
First choose the main group and this will be the group that will inform the
subgroups its ID and group name.
The subgroup will then request to be linked in the private area.
The main group will receive an email to accept the link or not.

Visas
Some pilgrims will need a visa to enter Brazil. These should be arranged in
advance by the pilgrims.
To obtain the visa for free, the “registration protocol” must be printed
for each pilgrim, available in the private area of the group. It must
have an ecclesiastical stamp and signature for it to be validated.
The electronic form must be completed, available in the website
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and take the registration
protocol, passport or equivalent travel document to the embassy
or consulates in your country to apply for the visa.

Entry into Brazil
At airports or highways the “registration protocol” must be presented by all
pilgrims, including those who do not need a visa, which can be printed from
the private area of the group.
