Setting
• Pitsburs, 1891
plot
• The chap had a dreams since he was a child,
but those dreams incresed every time, so he
got scared of them and when he grew up , he
told his mother about them, and his mother
told him that those dreams were related with
members of their damily that lived long time
ago.
Internal conflict
• Philip beckwith s dreams were really
interesting because those dreams came true,
and he realized that the chap he was in his
dreams had a meaning because the chap was
a member of his family who lived long time
ago
External conflict
• The little chap of philips dreams wanted to
give him ared key to him , but philip didnt
know until he was older.
Exposition
• Philip beckwith grew up with fear of his
dreams , he was 18 years when he told, mrs
beckwith, his mother about them, and his
mother got surprise and explained to him
those dreams.
Rising action
• Philip saw a chap in his dreams, but he didnt
understand why he was dreaming that, so he
decided no tell anybody.
climax
• Mrs beckwith told philip that his dreams had
a meaning and those dreams were related
with a portrait that they had in the living room
of their house.
Falling action
• Philip beckwith understood the dreams and
he dreamed one more time with the chap and
he followed him until the door next to an old
hotel called ivory, there the little chap gave
him a red key.
Resolution
• Mrs beckwith told his song philip that the red
key that the little chap gave to him had a
puropose because this red key was the one to
open a box with a treasure for them that his
father left from them.
Point of view
• This story is narrated in third person because
the storyteller is telling the whole story, in
others words, the storyteller is part of the
story.
