A typeface is a set of fonts that have a unified design and include letters, numbers, and punctuation marks. It may also contain symbols or consist entirely of symbols. A typeface is sometimes incorrectly used interchangeably with font, but a font refers specifically to a single member of a typeface family like bold or italic, while a typeface designates the overall visual style of a family of related fonts. For example, the Arial typeface includes roman, bold, and italic font styles.
