Fibbers eval
1. I went through a lot of different developments to create the fibbers poster as I used different fonts
and design ideas, my first idea was inspired by crosswords, I decided to cross over the names of the
acts with each other as if it was a crossword.
I did this and used a typewriter font for these parts of the text content whilst I used other fonts for
the other parts of text such as the title and the other information, I liked this idea because it made
the poster look interesting due to the fact that we weren’t allowed to use images or logos.
I then decided that the different fonts looked too childish and odd for a music poster so I decided to
change the fonts for each part of text to the same one throughout apart from the fibbers title, this
made the poster look more professional and of higher quality.
After changing the fonts I began moving the text around and changing the sizes depending on the
popularity of the act which is used in most concert posters, I moved and resized the text until I was
happy with the final outcome.
Overall I am happy with the final design and think that it looks professional and could be used
outside of fibbers for a real concert poster, there are many aspects that I kept from the initial idea
such as the font and the font of the fibbers logo at the top of the page.
The advantages to this design are that it looks well laid out and is placed well in the grid, I also
think that the text looks very fun and modern which attracts the young target audience and reflects
the fun theme of the event, I also think I have placed the text well to ensure that the more important
information is at the top of the page.
The disadvantages to the final design are that although the text looks fun and modern I think it still
looks a little bit childish.
