Development phase <ul><li>Analysis of problems in practice at the start of the GL proces </li></ul><ul><li>Specific questions are formulated based on the problem analysis </li></ul><ul><li>The literature is systematically surveyed and presented </li></ul><ul><li>The recommendations and the methods used to arrive at them are presented in a transparent way </li></ul><ul><li>A guideline document contains standard elements </li></ul><ul><li>A guideline highlights knowledge gaps </li></ul><ul><li>The development of guidelines yields tailored </li></ul><ul><li>products for professionals and users </li></ul>
  6. 8. <ul><li>Before the guideline is published, experts and future users are asked for their comments </li></ul><ul><li>The guideline is at least authorised by all primary professional groups </li></ul><ul><li>A procedure for reviewing the guideline is stipulated </li></ul><ul><li>The organisations primarily involved make an active effort to introduce the guideline in practice </li></ul>Development phase Finalisation phase
