FORMING During this stage, group members familiarise themselves with other members of the group. They must get to know each other and try decide if they belong in that group. NORMING The instability, hostility and conflict from the previous stage is replaced by cooperation and solidarity. All members of the group start to work towards the common goal. At this time group cohesion develops, group satisfaction increases. The leader of the group will expect group members to become more involved in the decision making process.
PERFORMING The performing stage involves the team progressing and functioning effectively as a unit. The group works without conflict and want to achieve the goals. There is little need for external supervision as the group is more motivated.
