  3. 3. The HistoryPrior to World War II, Manila was thepearl of the orient. The AngelaApartments were a part of that.Today, almost all of what was Manila’sformer glory was lost.The few buildings that survived from thatera are, for the most part, in a state of totaldisrepair.
