  1. 1. -In UK, Education is COMPULSARY for children ages 5-16. -Most children attend primary schools until they are eleven and then transfer to secondary schools. -It is mandatory for all state schools to provide a balanced broadly based curriculum which promotes spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development which prepares them for opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. -Almost all schools whether private or public choose to follow the national curriculum.
  2. 2.  National curriculum core subjects are    • English Mathematics Science Their curriculum includes key level for each and has definite emphasis that gradually advanced as the level progresses.

  4. 4.      Students studying for first degree are called undergradutes. Ordinary degrees are usually 3-year courses Honours degree programmes are usually fouryear courses. The degree title is extended to B.A and B.Sc. Masters Degree is usually achieved after two more years. Includes Open University
  5. 5.      There are public and private colleges. Similar with other countries. Public schools are funded in part by city, and or state and or federal government. Students living on the city or state pay less tuition. Non US residents pay more.

  11. 11.     A college usually has bachelor(4 years program) Vocational and Technical schools operate at either high school or junior college levels. They teach skills such as secretarial, auto mechanics, photography and nursing. Classes begins in September and ends in June. Language of instruction is English
