4. DECIDE YOUR SIDE Common mistake in persuasive writing is putting yourself in safe mode. You must choose a side in order for your writing to be taken seriously. DO NOT PLAY IT SAFE
5. COVER ALL SIDES In order to persuade people you must cover all key points. People will look for counters to your argument, especially if they are for the opposing side. Anticipate these topics and beat them to it.
