Facts and Figures <ul><li>The war is now into its 6 th year </li></ul><ul><li>The key players are the Arab militia (Janjaweed) backed by the Sudanese government, and the African Darfurians. </li></ul><ul><li>200,000 (probably more) killed </li></ul><ul><li>More than 2 million displaced (200,000 as refugees into Chad, the rest internally displaced within Darfur) </li></ul><ul><li>That is 1 in 3 Darfurians </li></ul><ul><li>4.5 million people affected by the conflict and now depending on humanitarian aid and assistance </li></ul><ul><li>Peace talks currently stalled in Libya </li></ul>
