This document provides information for parents about their child's fifth grade class. It outlines expectations for effort, maturity, behavior, homework, grading policies, and resources. Students are expected to turn assignments in on time, show self-motivation in learning, help their peers, and demonstrate responsibility. Consequences are given for late or missing work. The curriculum includes language arts, math, science, and social studies. Parents are provided forms and passwords to access their child's grades online.

27. Curriculum: Language Arts Accelerated Reader Reading for a grade and not just for the points Reading at an assigned level Test every two weeks or file a pass on books worth more than 12 points
28. Curriculum: Math and Science Math starts with a review Decimal and fraction division and multiplication Accelerated Math Science is tested on CST (California Standards Test)
