Scholars in the humanities and social sciences from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia (Kaliningrad and Rostov-on-Don only) and Ukraine
Scholars who are advanced in their research career (a minimal demand is a closing stage of the graduate school)
Scholars whose projects’ themes are connected with the themes of respective CASEs
Scholars whose English language proficiency is sufficient for completing an independent research project in the USA

Scholars who are able to begin the fellowship in September 2009 or January 2010. The scholarship has a length of 4 months.

Caucasus Research Resource Centers (Baku, Erevan, Tbilisi) – The South Caucasus Region: Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia
Kaliningrad CASE at the Kaliningrad SU, RUSSIA
Russia and Europe: Past, Present, Future
Rostov CASE at the Rostov SU, RUSSIA – Russia’s Modernization Problems
Fellowships by Each CASE as of January 2009
Participants Receive the Following:
Compensation of all expenses made prior to the actual fellowship (mailing, housing, travel, etc.)
Round-trip airfare from their home cities to their host universities in the USA
An orientation program either in Seattle, WA or Washington, DC
A monthly stipend, professional development funds, and health insurance
Access to libraries, archives, and alumni activities
