Terms: <ul><li>Web 2.0: The read/write web-interacting with information online </li></ul><ul><li>Social Networking: Interacting with others (in any way with anyone) online </li></ul><ul><li>Blog: Provides commentary or news on a topic or acts as an online journal </li></ul><ul><li>Wiki: A web site that can be edited by anyone </li></ul>

Parents Should: <ul><li>Know passwords to all of their child’s social networking sites </li></ul><ul><li>Be familiar with these sites </li></ul><ul><li>Have access to their child’s email account(s) (ALL of these sites require an email address to log in.) </li></ul><ul><li>Know your Internet filter (or invest in one if possible) </li></ul>
