2. Born on July 30, 1970 in London
Nolan started creating films at the age of 7
He travelled between Chicago and London while growing up as his mother
was from America and his father was from Britain
He attended The University College London, where he studied English
literature and joined the school's film society.
In 1997 Nolan married Emma Thomas, who has worked as a producer on many
of his films, they have four children

He first received attention for his early films, Following (1998)
and Memento (2000).
After directing Insomnia (2002) he began working on Batman Begins (2005)
which became a worldwide hit. This was followed by, The Dark Knight (2008)
which broke box office records
In 2010 his thriller Inception became another blockbuster.
In 2012, he produced his third batman film The Dark Knight Rises
