This editing technique is common in all trailers however horror most of all as
scenes are often already dark and black is in use a lot. A fade to black adds to

5. Title
A typical graphic title for horror films and trailers include aged texture and
colours associated with horror, like red, black and grey. They are used to
expose and reveal the whole atmopshere ans theme of the film, for the
audience to judge the film already and be able to tell what it might include
just by the font and text of the title.
