2. Alfred Hitchcock
Alfred Hitchcock didn’t have a production logo as such, in fact he just had “Alfred
Hitchcock Presents”. Yet from this I noticed the use of grey scale which showed
dimness and dullness and foreshadowed that the film was going to be gloomy and
scary. The font is very skinny which is a bit creepy to look at rather than something
that was in a fat bold font, this is quite a chilling font. I think this is quite a basic logo.
The sound in the Alfred Hitchcock logo is irrelevant.
3. Dark Castle Entertainment
In this logo the background is dark and gloomy, therefore scary, its is clouded over
which is a key weather in horror therefore is reflecting it. There is a full moon in the
picture representing night, which is when most vital horror scenes take place. The font
is again not too big and is not fat however it is bolded and illuminated which makes it
stand out. I would say this is quite a basic logo. The sound in this logo contains thunder
therefore bad weather which reflects a pathetic fallacy.
4. Ghost house Pictures
In this logo the background is dark which acknowledges that the film is going to
be dark, as in horror. There is a skeleton in the background which is related to
being scary and the dead which resembles horror, and the font is plain and to
the point and does not bother being fancy which could be in relation to
death, This logo is quite simple. The sound in the clip involves a door
slamming which resembles being trapped.
