What is EasyPHP? <ul><li>A WAMP (Windows-Apache-MySQL-PHP) bundle </li></ul><ul><li>A suite of the following software </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Apache </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>MySQL </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>PHP </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>phpMyAdmin </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Download from http://easyphp.org/telechargements.php3 </li></ul>
  5. 5. What is WordPress? <ul><li>A blog publishing system programmed in PHP </li></ul><ul><li>Uses MySQL as the backend (database) </li></ul><ul><li>A free software to set up blogs </li></ul><ul><li>Download from http://wordpress.org/download/ </li></ul>
  6. 6. How To Do <ul><li>Install EasyPHP </li></ul><ul><li>Create a database in MySQL with PhpMyAdmin </li></ul><ul><li>Install WordPress Software </li></ul><ul><li>Set up your blog </li></ul>
  7. 7. Step 1: Install EasyPHP Double Click EasyPHP.exe to launch the installer
  8. 8. Click “Next” to Continue
  9. 9. Click “I accept the agreement” and click “Next”
  10. 10. Read the Instructions
  11. 11. Select Destination Location
  12. 12. Select Start Menu Folder
  13. 13. Click “Install”
  14. 14. Installation in Progress…
  15. 15. Installation Complete
  16. 16. EasyPHP Service Started
  17. 17. EasyPHP Icon on System Tray
  18. 18. Checking the EasyPHP Installation Type http://localhost on the address bar of your web browser. The following screen appears…
  19. 20. Step 2: Create a database <ul><li>Launch PhpMyAdmin </li></ul><ul><li>Create a database named “wordpress” </li></ul><ul><li>Create a user named “wordpress” </li></ul><ul><li>Grant all privileges to the user “wordpress” on the database “wordpress” </li></ul>

  22. 23. Click “PHPMYADMIN”

  24. 25. Create a new database by name “wordpress” (or any other name)
  25. 26. Note: the collation – UTF-8
  26. 27. Now Click Here Now, Click Here
  27. 28. Click “Privileges”
  28. 29. Add a New User by name “wordpress” Click Here
  29. 30. Enter “Login Information” and give “Global Privileges” Enter “wordpress” for user name and “localhost” for Host. Type your password Select “Use text field” for all Click “Check All” Click “Go”

Step 3: Install WordPress <ul><li>Extract WordPress files to the “www” folder in EasyPHP installation folder </li></ul><ul><li>Rename “wp-config-sample.php” to </li></ul><ul><li>“ wp-config.php” </li></ul><ul><li>Open “wp-config.php” and fill in the database information </li></ul><ul><li>Run “install.php” from the Web Browser to install WordPress Software </li></ul>

  36. 37. Browse to the “www” folder
  37. 38. Open “wordpress” folder Rename this file to wp-config.php
  38. 39. After renaming…
  39. 40. Open wp-config.php with any text editor (like Notepad)
  40. 41. Fill in the database information Enter ‘wordpress’ for DB_NAME and DB_USER Enter the password for DB_PASSWORD which you provided while creating the user
  41. 42. Save the file and close
  42. 43. Now Open Localhost Now you can see “wordpress” folder listed. Click “wordpress” folder to open it
  43. 44. A message appears… Click on “install.php”
  44. 45. The First Step Click Here
  45. 46. Name Your Blog Click Here
  46. 47. The Second Step Note username and password Click Here to log in
  47. 48. WordPress Admin Login Enter Username and Password. Click Login
  48. 49. Your Blog Dashboard Click on “View site” to view your blog
  49. 50. Your Blog is ready !
