Responsibilities
In overall charge of all the day to day running of a busy country public house. Employment and training of all
staff in line with creating a good working atmosphere making sure all service standards were of the highest
quality. In charge of ensuring they had premises that were clean, tidy and hygienic over and above the
standards required by the EHO. Also maintained the margins and profitability of the business keeping
excellent working practices in tills and book keeping.
Accomplishments
In ten years at the pub turned a slightly run down business into a vibrant and busy community pub. Turnover
was up by 35% and profit was also up. All the staff were well trained and thoroughly enjoyed the working
environment that with his wife they had created whicv created tremendous loyalty. We designed a website
and thoroughly and successfully embraced social media while regularly changing menus particularly
introducing more local producers.They also did a greatdeal of improvement work on the premises.

in London’s West end .I finished running the flagship bar in Covent Garden London as a senior manager for
the last8 years before leaving to travel for a year.
