A nightclub ticket and promotional services company for several clubs in the West End of London, which I started up in
2008 and went on to achieve a £400k turnover and £60k net profit within the first year. Other achievements and
responsibilities included:
• Successfully expanding the business to two retail ticket shops and, within two years, achieving an annual net
turnover of £900k and £160k net profit per year
• Acquiring contracts with venues and developing the company’s marketing strategy
• Recruiting all staff, including Djs and management
• Overseeing the organisation and promotion of individual club night and events
• Being responsible for P&L control and budgeting
Area Manager Novus Leisure, London Dec 1998 – Feb 2008
I worked as part of the operations team with the largest entertainment company in Central London with over 45 bars and
clubs, ranging in capacity from 200 to 1600 such as Tiger Tiger on Haymarket.
I was initially general manager of Zoo Bar and Venom in Leicester Square; upon being bought out by Novus leisure, I was
promoted to area manager within two years, responsible for three sites. My achievements and responsibilities included:
• Successfully achieved all budgetary targets increasing net sales by £1million
2. • As the company grew, my responsibilities increased resulting in me overseeing eight venues with a net turnover
of £18million
• I gained experience in rebranding and realigning new acquisitions, participating in site meetings for new builds
and refurbishments, wet and dry menu concepts, staff motivation, disciplinary procedures and delegation
• Successfully led my team to win of two BEDA awards for best bar and club in United Kingdom and London

Upon leaving college, I worked extensively in the hospitality industry. I initially joined The Connaught Hotel as apprentice
chef, where I won the 'Academy Culinaire de France' Commis Chef of the Year (UK Chapter). I then worked in several
Michelin Starred restaurants in France and London before becoming head chef of Joe’s Café (Joseph Fashion Group) and
then promoted to general manager. From there I became general manager of Beach Blanket Babylon, winner of Evening
Standard Bar of the Year.

Interests
