Excluding external sources, this song has a significantly large
audience and feedback.
Eminemโ€™s success and popularity prior to the release of โ€œFast Laneโ€
may be the reason why it has such a broad spectrum of viewers.
However, some of the demographic that the genre primarily targets are
familiar with both of the artists work.
The majority of YouTube comments responding to the music video are
generally positive. There are sometimes debates between individuals who
are interested in this genre of music as to which artist is a better lyricist,
has better flow, success and more.
There are many comparisons and statements made based on opinion
between Eminem and Royce Da 5'9 as well as external artists who are
considered legendary, such as Tupac. (as it can be seen below).

Many of the responses from the opinionated and commenting individuals
represent their familiarisation and knowledge of other artists of the same

fans have had a chance to discuss what they thought of the song,

Similar, to the YouTube responders, the individuals who responded via
Forums have compared the artists of this song to other artists of the
same genre. This shows that the audience which this song
predominantly targets are fans of Hip-Hop and consumers of this
genre; this is because many individuals who have responded to this
media text have displayed some type of knowledge and awareness of
other artists through comparisons and statements or through debates
and discussions with other individuals.

There are authentic social networking accounts of the rap duo which
were used for media promotion and interaction with fans. This Bad
Meets Evil account has 1.1million likes. It provides links to interviews,
new music videos, videos on tour, photos โ€“ all of which the viewing
audience are free to comment on, share or like. This enhances the
interaction between consumer and producer relationship.
This is a verified Twitter account of the Rap duo which was also
professionally used to promote the duoโ€™s material and content. Apart
from the fact that fans are able to follow the account and keep up to
date with releases and new videos etc., the account isnโ€™t used to
directly respond to individuals who may attempt to interact with the
artists. However, this does happen with the individual artist accounts.
This is a fan-made Twitter account which is used to express opinions. This
shows that fans enjoy the content so much that they are willing to make
accounts just for this media. The Two-Step Flow theory can be applied
here as fans are more active because they can discuss the music amongst
themselves and they can also be considered interactive as the audience
has been influenced so much that they have created their own account
under the duoโ€™s name.
