2. • The website is very simple. Once you enter the site 8
images of Duffy appear all in black and white and there is
a black and white theme.
• There is then an advertisement in black and white of
Duffy’s new single ‘Endlessly’ on her album ‘Rockferry’
One could then click on it and it takes you to I tunes
where you can buy any songs on the album.
• At the top of the page you can see a music tool player
where you can play Duffys songs for free.
• Additionally at the top are logos for
Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, I Tunes and
YouTube, where you can click on any one you want and it
will open up the link for ou
3.
4. • The album cover is in black and white and so is the
pictures on the website and the theme so it compliments
each other.
• They are both using contrasting colours.
• The same font is used which could make it relatable
when the fans look at both the website and CD.
• I like that it is a simple website and the CD is simple too
so that you can focus on the music and do not need to
worry about all the these new features of technology.
5. • There are 9 different slides instead of menus which is unusual and
different for a website.
• 1. Homepage
• 2. Places Duffy has appeared at and in.
• 3. Gallery – of images of Duffy and magazines and articles she has been in
• 4. There is a ‘now playing’ box with a YouTube video ad there are little boxes
at the bottom with more videos that you can choose from.
• 5. Duffy Live – Can watch live performance videos or stills and there is also a
‘now playing’ box where you can choose which music you want and see which
one is playing.
• 6. ITunes and HMV – There are pictures of the different albums and singles of
Duffy and if you click on it and it opens up a link where you can buy them.
• 7. Duffy film – also displaying a ‘Now playing’ box and information about a film
made about her. There is a ‘buy on ITunes’ sign which you can click on and
buy films.
• 8. Store- coming soon – not open yet but would be a place for people to buy
Duffy merchandise.
• 9. A form to sign up for updates about new releases, ticket pre-
sales, PA's, exclusive music downloads from Duffy.
6. • Duffy is quite old fashioned and so is her style so maybe
the use of black and white on the album cover and
website is not only for the mood and atmosphere but to
give it an old feel to the time when there was no colour
film.
