Welcome to How to Motivate Sales Millennials| 3 minutes | 3 min Alright, let’s give some guidelines & tips for motivating milenials Big Three Questions  - are you having a good time, any millennial jokes I can use? You are what you download How many people hire and manage and motivate millennials?  How many people ARE millennials in the audience? 50% of the workforce now totally cool Millennials are arguably the most controversial generation since generations got named – omg – these poor young people have a worse reputation than Fidel Castro in a Miami coffee shop Let’s spend the next 45 minutes going through some facts, statistics, fiction and talk about how to motivate and support the next generation of American workers
  2. Ok, here is my agenda- 2 min | 5 min What is a millennial? Wild and wacky facts that I uncovered about millennials How millennials look at the world and why they are GREAT sales talent! Motivation techniques – that seems to be a strength of mine – of how to get these people so pumped up their lips throb like a first grader after a Boston snowstorm
  3. 2007 was the very beginning of the startup craze- start up didn’t really mean what it means today- What does start up mean today – billionaires in hoodies, overnight success, building interesting cloud technology – way back in 2009 before – do you remember 2007? – before iphones, FB, twitter, Instagram, snap chat, Justin Timberlake was on the radio and George Bush was in the White House- oh baby a trip down memory lane- the dawn of a new generation  Hiring millenials wasn’t a HubSpot phenomenon >this is most start ups> I was thrilled then to be working with young people for selfish reasons – teaching them skills they didn’t have was fun, fast and they didn’t come with preconceived notions  Another reason we hired millennials > time, little compensation, long hours, hard work, low pay> they were kind of the only people who wanted to take the chance- work that hard- believed in the vision- So I got to hire, train, recruit and motivate hundreds of young people, and I thought I would share my thoughts, ideas and opinions and see if I can help you do the same for yours.
