2007 was the very beginning of the startup craze- start up didn’t really mean what it means today- What does start up mean today – billionaires in hoodies, overnight success, building interesting cloud technology – way back in 2009 before – do you remember 2007? – before iphones, FB, twitter, Instagram, snap chat, Justin Timberlake was on the radio and George Bush was in the White House- oh baby a trip down memory lane- the dawn of a new generation
Hiring millenials wasn’t a HubSpot phenomenon >this is most start ups> I was thrilled then to be working with young people for selfish reasons – teaching them skills they didn’t have was fun, fast and they didn’t come with preconceived notions
Another reason we hired millennials > time, little compensation, long hours, hard work, low pay> they were kind of the only people who wanted to take the chance- work that hard- believed in the vision-
So I got to hire, train, recruit and motivate hundreds of young people, and I thought I would share my thoughts, ideas and opinions and see if I can help you do the same for yours.
